A: No, you should not pour ingredients into the top while the Ninja Blast BC251GY is blending. For safety, the lid must remain securely closed during operation. To add ingredients, stop blending first, then reopen the lid before continuing.

Great portable blender!
I’m very pleased with my purchase! My husband has the original version but this version is much better because it detaches from the base so is much lighter. I typically use it for my post workout smoothies and it blends really well, and the charge lasts for a few uses.

6 months later I have a useless base unit
I do not recommend. Says it’s dishwasher safe. Washed container in dishwasher one time and the cup is warped. Contacted company and was told it’s not under manufacturer warranty. So after 6 months I have a useless base unit. I suggest trying nurtibullet flex which is also cheaper.

Disappointed, but still like this product.
Purchased this as a birthday gift for myself. Was excited to use it but upon 1st use, the unit turned off due to over heating. So, disappointing. I do like it, just wish the machine wouldn't overheat so quickly as this was not a cheap product.

I won this in a raffle at my work and I love it! I put frozen fruit in it along with nuts and yogurt and it did the job well. It’s not like those other portable blenders that you have to shake because it was too weak to chop the ice. It’s not very lightweight but I’m glad

Lasted 7 months and now a door stop
Lasted 7 months and now dead! Like other reviews state works at times before, never consistent on run times. Sometimes long, sometimes short, but now completely dead. When fully charged you get maybe 6-8 uses.

Not dishwasher safe at all!!
Blender is good for the most part but definitely not dishwasher safe like they suggest. I always cleaned it by hand but a couple days ago I decided to put it through the dishwasher for a better clean and now it leaks and sprays my drink everywhere while blending so i recommend always washing it by hand and the company should remove that it’s dishwasher safe because it’s not!

Great product.
I bought this product to help me maintain my diet with fresh berries with smoothies every day at work. it is the best solution i have seen yet as it allows me to keep the smoothie fresh until i am about to drink it. I put all the ingredients in and take it to work. when i wish to drink the smoothie, the Ninja Blast blends and its perfect.

Battery Life Sucks!
The charge does not hold at all. I charged it fully before use, and it just ran out of juice in the middle of blending, so I was stuck with a half-blended smoothie. I'm returning it for sure!

Nice but not really portable
I received this as a replacement for the smaller version as it has been discontinued. I like the larger size of this version and the ability to select different power settings. Also the color options are great. My main disappointment in this model is that it requires an outlet to charge the battery and the unit will only work with the battery ie. You cant use wall power. the discontinued model charged via USB making it truly portable. Now I basically have a tiny blender that i need a standard outlet to charge and I can't use it as a countertop blender without a full battery. Overall I am impressed with ninja products this one just missed the mark abit as a portable blender

Poor Battery and Blending Performance
I purchased this on September 2nd, and by September 22nd I’m already disappointed. This is only my third time trying to use it and the battery dies mid-use even after a full charge. It doesn’t blend well at all my smoothies still have whole pieces of fruit, so making smoothies or açaí bowls is impossible. For a Ninja product, I expected way better.

Great portability but needs more power for frozen
My Ninja Max is perfect for 1 serving. The smoothie canc mix liquid fruit yogurt but frozen frit and crushed ice is a challenge for a smoothie. Power and blade size is not big or strong enough. I prefer my older ninja smoothie blender. Love the portability of this blender.
