dangerous splinters for kiddos and pets
visually pretty and nice structure, but the woven material sheds like crazy and causes splinters. I live in a home with pets... DO NOT recommend at all. there's lots of better options out there, this is significantly overpriced for how bad it is

Textured Storage
Is this an heirloom piece of furniture with top notch quality and construction? No. Can you actually sit on a seagrass? Of course not. Does the bench store all my sheets and towels and add texture to the decor for a fairly inexpensive price point? Yes.

Weird warning label
-1 star for the price- seems steep for what you’re getting which is a wicker storage bench -1 star for this strange warning that’s in 2 places on the bench: “not intended for use as a toy chest.” Why not? I see other reviewers are using it as a toy chest. Is the bench unsafe? Is it made with unsafe materials? If so then what does target intend you to store inside?

Lovely piece, but very fragile. The woven design on the main body is just a facade on a solid piece so it can flake off with very little force (knicker by a vacuum, picked at by a child, etc)

Not worth and poor quality
It’s nice size and depth but the quality is poor. It will rip and shed. If you have a puppy dog it’s even worse since they would love to pick on it. It can be toxic. The issue truly is quality because it rips and color changes. We wanted to keep so board games inside and as a decor. I will be returning it. I would rather get a good quality material type of ottoman storage. This one is way overpriced for the quality.

Disappointing, Terrible Quality
This basket looks nice at first, but unfortunately it quickly deteriorates. It leaves a mess all over my floors from it falling apart which isn’t ideal when I have little children running around with bare feet. When I first got it, I thought it was just wear and tear from being on display in the store but I quickly realized it’s just the quality of the item. Very disappointed because I usually love Studio McGee products.

It's a beautiful bench. I recommend getting it in a box verses the one on the store floor. The one I saw on the floor was beat up pretty bad but the one in the box was in perfect condition. I do wish the bench had handles and it was lined.

This seems sturdy and high quality but when I went to take the tag off, directly under the tag it was all beat up and broken. Definitely expensive for what it is. I wouldn’t use it as a bench for people but I planned to use it for my 25 lb dog to look out the window

Disappointing purchase
This is an attractive storage solution, but it is not well made in my opinion. It chips and flakes with normal usage. We purchased the trunk for storage. With it being opened and closed a few times a day, the edges of the top are already damaged. We have had the trunk for less than a week. Disappointing because it was $180. Other storage options we’ve purchased from this brand have held up to daily wear and tear (for over a year and counting).

Great basket/bench option!
I'd been looking for ages for a bench to put at the foot of my bed, and I'm so happy I found this one! It's just the right size, slightly smaller than my queen size bed, and looks nice at the end of it. The light material is a nice color for my neutral room, and brings some lightness to it. It's very sturdy and works for a quick seat when putting socks or shoes on. I haven't had any issues with the material splitting but a small piece or two has broken off when it got bumped pretty hard. Overall I think it's a good quality for the price, and suits what I've been looking for!
