Love the screen but a lot of cons

The convenience of having a monitor rather than just being on the phone app is great. The screen is ridiculously large in my opinion, it doesn’t have the same detailed features as the app, and the battery life isn’t great. We went to bed with the display at 97% charge and it died in the middle of the night. Must be plugged in it seems if you want to use all night.

I am obsessed with my Nanit Home! Having a separate tablet for the monitor is a total game changer. I no longer have to give up my phone every time I want to check on my kids. The screen is big, bright, and super clear, which makes it so easy to peek in throughout the day and night. I love the split screen so I can see both my kids at once. It also feels really sturdy (which is important in a house with a toddler) and has already survived multiple drops with no issues. The Home is such an amazing new addition to the Nanit ecosystem!

So excited to have an easy way for grandparents and babysitters to watch the monitor without having to log into the app! And great image quality, especially compared to the grainy monitors I'm used to. My older son loves to watch the baby from it too.

Nanit just got even better. The smartphone app has always been super convenient but I love having a larger dedicated screen around the house. We’ve had a few babysitters use it and they all found it very simple and intuitive. Picture quality is great and I love that you can see the live feed side by side with the room temperature and sleep status.

The long awaited Nanit accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest feedback. As a busy mom of two, I’ve finally figured out how to be in two places at once thanks to the Nanit Home 8" Display. Connecting our Nanit monitors to the Home Display accessory was effortless, and it has been a wonderful extension of our existing Nanit system. Having a dedicated parent unit is truly a game changer—especially for our efforts to create more “phone-free time” and for providing an easy, accessible monitoring system for our babysitters. I really appreciate the sleek, lightweight design and the crystal-clear video resolution, both day and night. Keeping the Home Display on my nightstand in split-screen mode is incredibly convenient and gives me peace of mind knowing my little ones are safe and sleeping. I do have a few criticisms. The Home Display does not consistently hold a charge overnight, and the screen saver function works sporadically. Additionally, split-screen mode only allows two monitor images at a time, which is limiting since I have three monitors. The price is also something to consider, as this is another accessory that must be purchased separately in addition to the monitor and any sleep insights subscription. Overall, I feel the quality is worth the price, and I wish the Nanit Home had come standard with the Nanit, Smart Baby Monitor System bundle.

Amazing addition to our Nanit products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using our phones or tablets to monitor our kids for years as we have been part of the Nanit family since 2020 and that was the only option. I love having this additional screen. The clarity of the video is better than my phone day or night. The Home Screen is handy to display all information about the room temp and sleep status. I also love that I can see two Nanit feeds at once rather than toggle between two different cameras on the phone app. What I really love is that I can have the kids being monitored completely separate from my phone if I so choose. When I am using my phone for other things like work emails or working out I love that I can check in on the kids if I hear any noises or for peace of mind without having to exit out of what I am doing. I am thrilled with this new product! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory. I am so happy with it!

Has potential but needs more refinement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited when the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent me the Nanit Home to try. I’ve used the Nanit baby monitor since the day I brought my 18-month-old son home from the hospital and always wished for an external screen to view the feed. After a couple of weeks using the screen, I like it overall, but it definitely has room for improvement. First, the screen is too bright to keep on a nightstand overnight. Unlike the phone app, the Nanit Home doesn’t have a Night Mode. I like to keep the live view displayed in case I hear a noise, but even on the lowest brightness setting, it was still too bright. Additionally, the sound option that’s supposed to mute audio when the screen is turned off didn’t work for me. I had to manually turn off the sound every time I turned off the screen. Lastly, while the Home allows you to rotate the screen in live mode, you can’t rotate it on the Home screen. This caused the crib orientation to be opposite of what I see on my phone, which was confusing. Overall, the 8” touchscreen display is a nice addition for homes using the Nanit monitor. The Home Screen is useful for at-a-glance information like humidity and temperature and I really like the adjustable kickstand. If Nanit adds some of the features commonly used on the phone app, it could be even better. Until then, this screen will stay in the living room, and I’ll unfortunately continue using my phone at night to check on my little one.

Great addition to my nanit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Home 8” Display is awesome! The video is clear and I can keep an eye on my kiddo while she is sleeping. She is 1.5 and has been having problems falling asleep, so the display is especially useful at night. It is easy to see her while she is in a dark room. I loved how the home screen showed me, not only my daughter, but also room temperature, humidity, and sleep status. It was just like the Nanit app but on a separate display! It was also super easy to set up. The display made it so I can be doom scrolling on my phone and still look over and make sure my baby is safe. It is so much easier than trying to use my phone as a monitor and for binge watching! I really love it for when my nanny is over. I do not need to give her full access to the app on her device and can instead just hand her the display. My only complaint is that battery percentage is not shown when it is unplugged. I received this display from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I am so thankful I did because it really has been so useful!

Great addition to the baby monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby monitor accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Nanit Home Display is an awesome addition to the Nanit baby Monitor and is the accessory I’ve been missing. The video quality and screen brightness was very clear even during the night and the Home Screen that featured the live feed, temperature, humidity, and sleep status all in one made it simple to make sure my baby was safe, comfortable, and getting quality sleep. The screen was quick to respond when toggling between the features and I didn’t notice any issues with glitching. My favorite part of having the home screen is I know longer have to download the app on a baby sitter’s phone for them to check on the baby and I don’t always have to have my phone on hand. I highly recommend purchasing this accessory in addition to the Nanit monitor.

The Perfect Addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Nanit Camera for a few months and I was so excited to get my hands on the Display Monitor. I received the Nanit Home 8” Display Monitor from Stellar Product Testing Panel. The tablet has a high-quality resolution, even in the dark, which is very impressive. There is very minimal lag between real time and live video feed. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I don’t have to worry about my phone dying while keeping an eye on baby through naps and throughout the night. The home screen has all the info you need in regard to sleep status, temp/humidity, and volume/brightness control. This is a must have addition to the Nanit!

Sooo glad nanit added this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mama already using the Nanit, I was very excited to try the new dedicated monitor—and I love it. The video quality is clear and sharp, including at night, and I appreciate being able to see the live feed along with room temperature, humidity, and sleep status all on one screen. The split-screen feature is going to be perfect for checking on both babies once my baby girl arrives, and having a standalone display makes quick check-ins much easier without constantly reaching for my phone. A minor downside is that it’s an extra device to place somewhere, but the convenience easily outweighs that for me. I prefer to sleep with my phone in another room so this has been amazing for me having something other than my phone to be able to watch the baby on!! This monitor is a great addition to the Nanit setup and makes monitoring simpler. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.

The display Ive been waiting for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit 8” display is amazing. I got tired of draining my phone battery using it as my baby monitor so I really love that they came out with the separate unit. I love that basically everything in the app is also on the unit. Makes it super handy and helpful. Also I do have a babysitter fairly often and it was nice to be able to leave them with an actual monitor to be able to look at. The display is great, it’s large and crystal clear. The sound pickup on the nanit is amazing. Overall a great monitoring system and I just love the addition of the display. Thank you stellar product testing panel for allowing me to test this product. It when above and beyond my expectations.

So happy with this monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When received news that the Stellar Product Testing Panel was sending me this Nanit Home 8” Display, I was ecstatic. My family has loved our Nanit monitor for our first daughter and will be continuing to use it for our second. Previously, I had been using an iPad/cell phone combination for viewing - the iPad was really bulky and inconvenient, and I never wanted to keep my cell phone screen open the whole night. Having this separate, lightweight monitor is so convenient and I really do love using it. Setup was a breeze, it took maybe 20 minutes total. The video quality on the Nanit Home Display is good, but not as good the quality on my iPad. It is a little grainy at times, more so at night, so I do think that could use a little improvement. Aside from that, I love the device. The screen is large, you can zoom in, there are so many functions and features - including a “home” screen - which is a great spot to see all of the “statistics” all at once. Since our newborn is still with us in our bedroom, we haven’t hooked up the second Nanit camera yet, but I can’t wait to link it up with the Nanit monitor and see how it works!

A welcome addition to my go to camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the Nanit Home to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am SO excited that Nanit listened to all the feedback and finally rolled out a separate baby monitor-- It was long overdue. Before this product came out, we felt like we needed to buy a separate camera with a monitor to make it easier for family or babysitters to be able to check in, but this monitor now makes it so you dont have to! I'm extremely pleased with the overall quality of the monitor. It is fairly large, with fantastic, clear, video quality. Honestly, I think they could've gotten away with a 6 inch screen and been totally fine, but I dont mind that it's large. The monitor itself is user friendly and straightforward. The software is easy to navigate and mimics the Nanit App. I currently use it to watch my twins (that sleep in the same room), but we have baby #3 on the way and I'm excited to continue to test the split screen functionality. On the home screen, I liked the quick access to change things like the screen brightness and the volume, as well as a quick view of the temperature and humidity levels to ensure their room remained comfortable through the night. I have 2 points of feedback on the monitor overall: 1) I really wish it had VOX functionality, that would turn enable the screen to be in sleep mode, but automatically activate when a noise is detected. I think this would help with my 2nd piece of feedback 2) Battery life. I found that while its ok to take it off the charger and walk around the house before you go to sleep, it needs to be connected to the charger overnight or else it will not hold a charge the entire time. Overall I am still really happy with this product, and excited to keep using it!

Nanit Home Display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nanit home The new Nanit Home display makes monitoring my kids so much easier! It is the perfect size and the video display is super clear just like on the app. I use split screen for 2 kids so the larger screen size helps me see each child even easier. It has so many of the same features as the phone app and they continue to add more! It’s easy to control breathing motion and background noises which is what I use most. I like that it has the power and volume buttons as actual buttons and the rest is touch screen. It has a built in stand so I now just leave the screen on when daytime monitoring rather than just background sounds since best of all, it no longer drains my phone battery! It’s also great for watching older kids play independently. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory!

Amplifies the Baby Watching Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit 8" Display that was received as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel complemented my existing Nanit Smart Baby monitoring experience by making it a "night and day" difference of monitoring my little one in full HD and also made check-ins easier without having to always grab my smartphone. The split-screen function is also a smart and productive feature that allowed me to monitor the different children in my rooms and being able to see each of them clearly. The home screen had innovative information that allowed me to access a live feed of my little one and gave me various important specs at a glance such as room temperature, humidity, and sleep status. This definitely added that valuable extra peace of mind, allowing me to focus on other aspects of my life. The video quality is definitely clearer than I expected and it doesn't look pixelated at all. The night live feed is sufficient, but I felt that at some parts, it wasn't as clear so possibly the only thing that could be fixed on this product is better clarity when it comes to night time. Other than that, I love this product and will continue to use it because it adds a vivid display of monitoring my little one without grabbing my smartphone every single time.

Great Accessory to the Nanit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8-inch monitor is the missing piece in the Nanit system. The video quality is excellent, and clear enough that we can actually see our little one breathing. The night vision is equally impressive, and I love having access to temperature and humidity readings directly on the screen. The kickstand on the back is adjustable as well which is a nice touch. The monitor integrates seamlessly with the Nanit app. Having a dedicated screen within easy reach means we no longer need to constantly check our phones. The live-view option provides added peace of mind and makes monitoring incredibly convenient. Areas for improvement:
While I appreciate the large display, the 8-inch size feels a bit bulky for travel. Offering different size options would make it more convenient to pack and transport. Additionally, the battery life is shorter than I would prefer because it didn’t last through the night when unplugged. While this isn’t a deal breaker, longer battery life would be a welcome improvement. Overall, this monitor feels like the missing puzzle piece Nanit needed. I love the convenience of having both the app and the monitor synced, allowing me to check in on my little one and feel reassured wherever I am. I was given this baby monitor accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

The best addition to my Nanit setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a way to complete my Nanit baby monitor setup for my house! I have been using the Nanit baby monitors for over five years now with each of my four children. I have absolutely loved the Nanit as a monitor, but always ran into issues with giving access to babysitters while my husband and I were gone. Now with the Nanit 8” Display, it is made life so much easier and less complicated. Instead of running down our phone batteries, the display gives us quick access while at home and yet still conveniently having access on our phones whether we are home or gone. The display has some really nice features that seem to be intentionally created with parents in mind. One of those features is the kickstand at the back that allows for any angle of the display monitor for good visibility. I was also so excited to see that the display includes multiple monitors at one time. I have three cameras in my house and I can see all three at the same time instead of flipping back-and-forth between different cameras. I also really appreciate that the Home Screen includes the live feed, as well as the temperature, humidity, and sleep status. This simple feature gives me peace of mind as I can quickly find all of the status updates in one place. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory!

Great addition to the Nanit Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Nanit Home 8” Display through Stellar Reviews, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to try it out! I’ve owned the Nanit baby camera for about two years now, and I am so glad I received this display - It has been such a great addition to our setup. I am so glad that Nanit decided to make the screen display, it has made up checking on my baby so much easier than constantly opening my phone. I can now keep my hands free and bring the monitor with me from room to room, whether I’m cooking, doing dishes, or getting ready. It’s also very aesthetic and pleasing to look at. I usually leave it out on my dining table because it looks great with my decor while still serving a real purpose. Pros: The navigation on the display is incredibly easy and intuitive. It makes accessing all of Nanit’s features much simpler compared to the app. I never really used the built-in white noise or nature sounds before, but with the display, I use them all the time because it’s so quick and easy to turn them on and adjust the volume. I also love that the screen shows key info at a glance like the live video, temperature, humidity, and baby’s status. I currently only own one Nanit camera, so I haven’t been able to use the split-screen feature yet, but honestly, seeing that option alone makes me want to buy another camera. It would be an amazing feature for families with multiple kids in different rooms. Another huge plus is that anyone in the house can quickly check on the baby. Whether my husband or grandma is over, everyone can see if the baby is awake or sleeping without needing access to the app on their phone. That has been so convenient for our family. I also really appreciate how portable the display is. We’re heading on vacation soon, and I’m excited to bring it with us. It feels sturdy, easy to pack, and perfect for travel. Cons: My biggest piece of constructive feedback would be battery life. It’s not terrible by any means, but I do wish it lasted a bit longer when unplugged. That said, it hasn’t been a major issue for us since I usually keep it plugged in, especially when it’s sitting in the kitchen or living area. Overall, if you already own a Nanit camera, I would absolutely recommend adding the Nanit Home 8” Display. It truly enhances the entire Nanit experience and makes the camera feel even more worth it. I didn’t realize how much I would love having a dedicated display until using this, and now I can’t imagine going without it.

Great concept

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Home 8” Display is sleek and compact, yet a perfect size to watch my little one. I prefer watching my baby on the display compared to trying to view using a smaller phone screen. The video is high quality, clear, and incredibly easy to see both during the day and night. The downside is that the monitor does not have night mode which in return is too bright when I am trying to sleep. Although this is portable, the battery life does not last long and the monitor will not give a notification when it is dying, so I often keep it plugged in. The monitor is incredibly user friendly when it comes to splitting the screen with two kids. As a mom with high anxiety, I thoroughly enjoy all of the updates (I.e sleep status, temp, humidity) showing during the live feed. It puts my mind at ease knowing my baby is sleeping safe and sound! As I am trying to cut back on using my phone and be more present with family, I love this option to check in on my baby as they sleep. Overall, a great product, but could use some tweaking! I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
