Worked during a 14 hour blackout!!!
Have used this for about 6 months, I like it, but don't love it - I've purchased different sound machines for myself and my older kids that were a superior product to this... What has made me change how I feel about it from 3 stars to 5? Had a major blackout, over 14 hours without a plug power source. This little unit held its charge and played from 11:30 pm to 10:00 am and then again for a two hour nap. Never had a baby sound machine that didn't need to be connected to the power source to stay on. The description says it requires a plug power source but clearly if it's charged enough it's holds it. Total game changer. It's extremely frustrating to lose power during a night time routine or nap time, especially when the infant/baby/toddler requires the sound and/or light to feel comfortable to sleep. Or safe to sleep during a thunderstorm. Totally worth the 5 stars!

We love this sound machine, but for more than one reason. I love that I can control it from my phone if I need to because I have two kids… and I do forget to turn things off after walking to another room with the baby. I would also like to state that the battery back up was recently a life changer. We had a winter power outage the other night, not only did the sound keep our little asleep but also the light was super helpful to my husband since we didn’t have power! I would 10000% buy this for someone else. It is by far my favorite baby item!

There is a sound loop that creates a beeping sound on brown noise, ringing sound on white and pink also has a distinct sound after listening for a while. I tried it for a week, we’re going nuts. It’s also so muffled compared to hatch. Terrible! Returning and going back to hatch.

Love/Hate relationship. On certain settings like "brown noise" after a while you start to hear weird beeping that randomly comes and goes. It's kind of creepy. Thinking of returning..

I like it but it dies quickly and is not a necessity
I do really like this machine and it’s been super useful with a newborn. I don’t think it’s a necessity but it’s definitely very nice to have. The only issue I have with it is that the battery life is pretty short so I have to have it plugged in if I want to use the sound all night. It dies even faster if you use the nightlight. I also feel like it feels kinda cheaply made but I don’t care that much since it gets the job done.

what a bummer
I am really disappointed with this gift. I was excited to receive this for my baby shower. After one use, the sound stopped working. I turned it off and on, restarted my phone, removed the app and reinstalled and its just become a nightmare. I like the lights and the fact that its portable. If you are looking for a reliable sound machine, this is not it.

Poor sound quality
Bought this because our Hatch broke after a few years. This sound machine has poor sound quality. All the sounds are very muffled and don’t sound like they should. If you’re considering this, just spend the extra money for the Hatch. Will be returning this and repurchasing a Hatch.

Great but needs improvement.
Love the different colors and I love that I can turn it on from our bedroom. The lights are bright without being crazy bright. The sound is good enough. I like that it has the potential to be portable. I just wish the battery lasted longer than barely a day. It basically needs to remain plugged in if you want to have constant access which then doesn't make it portable.

As a light and sound machine it works great! BUT the battery life on this sucks! It’s supposedly fully charged and doesn’t even last the full night. It needs to have a way in the app they use to tell you the battery life

bad sound quality
the sound quality isn’t good. it’s as if they only recorded three seconds of audio and you can hear it loop, or the mechanism that plays the sound is flawed. you can hear this weird whirring or whooshing. and it repeats every 2ish seconds. my brain started to make beats out of it. i couldn’t sleep well just waiting to hear these noises. the app you use with it also isn’t great. i wanted to like this but the sound is just horrible. i wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The nightlight is good, but that’s about it. The machine makes a weird radio static sound when you turn it on. The sound is not the best quality. Got the Hatch afterwards and find it has a much smoother sound.

my children love this lamp, now they don't go anywhere without it, whether at home to grandparents or even camping. Every other day you have to charge it, in the morning it wakes the children up for school. I am happy with the purchase.
