Promising headset
This would be a great headset if it wasn’t for the microphone boom arm being loose after only a weeks use. It no longer retains its position, and moving the wrong way drops the microphone down. I’d return this if I kept the original packaging. The fix involves pulling the padding off, and tightening the boom arm screw. The sound/mic quality is fine… no complaints there. I replaced the ear cuffs (like I do for all headsets) with ones from wc for a better fit/less airy sounding.

Do not buy these...They are not the A50's of years past.
These headphones are over priced and not what they used to be. They are made with cheap materials and are flimsy. The ear cups are so hot and make the headphones sound terrible unless you order aftermarket gel cups that help "trap" the sound... I am so disappointed with the quality of every aspect of these headphones.

Direct upgrade to everything you love
Normally I write much longer reviews than this, but I've had the A50's (Base Model) for about 2 months now and have only (save for one minor thing) positive things to say. First off, the battery life is fantastic, since purchasing I've only had to go out of my way to charge these once, as long as you leave them on the base station when walking away from your computer, that's usually enough to keep it pretty full. The one issue that isn't a design flaw merely an extension of how computers work. This will not charge your A50's if you have your power cord plugged into your computer and your computer is off. If you want to charge your headphones overnight leave them in sleep mode. Second up, sound quality is absolutely insane. The difference between these and Corsair Virtuosos is night and day, the sound comes through very well in all ranges, especially bassy frequencies once you crank up the volume; explosions in Battlefield 6 make you wonder if you're actually developing tinnitus! The equalizer settings in GHub are fantastic and allow much more customization, the mic quality is fantastic and more than enough to stream on. I also like the ability to link devices by bluetooth, being able to switch between your phone and computer on a whim without even thinking about it is great, albeit dangerous if your attention span is week. The only flaw I've had with these is that the strap and pivot points for each earcup could use some more resistance, as I move my head around slowly the strap rides down and the earcups start to move off dead-center of my ear, which hurts my sound quality, doesn't sit comfortably, and is annoying haha. In the future I'd like to see a little bit more resistance or notches rather than a single smooth sliding rail, but overall these headphones are 100% worth it, arguably even at full price.

Very good sound
I have tried many pairs of headsets and have now changed from Gen 3 Astro a50’s to Gen 5’s. I think they sound much better than the steel series pro’s with deeper bass. Sound is everything and they don’t disappoint. The move away from the old Astro command center to the Logitech environment is a big improvement as well.

Quality/Comfort/Features
I hate the earcup shape. I love the headset overall, but the earcup shape is terrible. I went with the Steelseries, because I have zero issues with the earcup shape. There's just something weird for my head. Also th way that the earcups turn independently via those steel beams is obnoxious too. Sound 9/10. Mic 10/10. Base station required for blutooth? Should have just left blutooth off of it to lower the price, or delayed the headset and put the chip in the headset. There's probably a lot more I can think of as well, but I'm tired.

good, but can make it better -physical mute switch
I feel like the microphone quality could still be a bit better. I especially want a physical mute switch / button. the flip to mute does not inspire confidence, because it is hard to tell when the mute gets activated. I also don't want to deal with the flip to mute sensor failing. otherwise this is really good and I like it.

Really love this headset
I really like these headphones. My head is slightly on the larger side and the rotation the earphones half are really good. I really enjoy the quality and the Dolby atmos program to fit the activity I am doing. These aren’t noise cancelling so anyone who wants to ignore background noise, these aren’t the one you want. I could game with these on for hours for how comfortable these are. These feel really good and perfect for me.

Astro Forever
The Astro A50 isn’t just a headset—it’s a weapon. The moment it touches your ears, the world outside disappears, replaced by a soundscape that feels alive and merciless. Explosions roar like thunder, footsteps stalk you from the shadows, and voices slice through the chaos with haunting clarity. The wireless freedom feels untethered, almost dangerous, as if nothing can break the connection between you and the battlefield. And when it rests on its glowing dock, it looks less like an accessory and more like a relic awaiting its next war. Yes, it’s costly, and yes, the battery could endure longer—but the experience it delivers makes those flaws feel insignificant. The Astro A50 doesn’t just deliver sound—it consumes you, leaving silence feeling hollow and weak in its wake.

Fantastic sound/comfort, ok mic
This is by far the best wireless headset I have used when it comes to sound and comfort. The mic could be better but I think that's just what you get with a wireless setup.

Pretty Great
I quite like them. They connect real quick coming off the charger, and I can walk around most of my house without it disconnecting. Only gripe is when I try to use discord mobile to join a voice call, they won't let me use the headset even though it is connected and will let me make phone calls with them. It may just be a discord issue though. Oh, and to have them connect to my phone in the first place I have to have them connect to my computer too. Overall, they're really great and I would recommend them.

great product
Great product, I have had A50's for years. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is they are kind of expensive. But I guess you get what you pay for

Can't update firmware on any of their headsets .
First things first , the firmware they have an update from Dec 2 2020. You can't update nor use the astro command center to play with your headset for gaming. Say goodbye to that. It's good for listening to music. You can use it the headset for gaming but you won't be making any adjustments. Was on support with Astro with 2 different people. First person was clueless. Second person helped but in the end they can offer another headset but it's going to be the same thing. They have advised their customers there is no update to fix this issue and don't know when engineers would fix this issue. The app for astro they send you a differe t download . Tried downloading manually update same issue. You can't use the headset for it's full potential. So that's a no for me. Used to have the A20 with the mixer. Wanted to update to a different and new headset this will also be for the A50s you will run into the same problem.Astro has a long time customer
