Magical. But fiddly in places.
This is my first BIG Lego set. I've been eyeing it up for years and I'm grateful that I received it as a Christmas gift from my parents. ( At nearly 30 🙈 ) I have enjoyed a solid 95% of this build. The detail, hidden areas and nods to the video games are perfect. That said. Trying to attach that front tree root led to a catastrophic collapse and the whole mid section had to be rebuilt. And I do believe his nose/eyebrows are held on by nothing but witchcraft and a dream. Adding each petal to the blossom was the perfect balance of repetitive to be relaxing, but short enough that I didn't get bored and despise it. Hestu and the tiny mushrooms add the perfect amount of whimsy. I would recommend this to any Zelda and Lego fans. :)

Terrible design. Poor instructions
Build will break into pieces whenever you get halfway through. Instructions are inaccurate. Expensive. Don’t waste your money on this trash

Beautiful set to display and build
When I first saw this set online I was torn. I love The Legend of Zelda series, especially Breath of the Wild, but I wasn’t sold on the look of the set from the photos online. However, the photos don’t do this set justice. Once I saw it in person, I was sold. It’s a beautiful set! The build experience was even better, IMO. The colors are gorgeous! And everything comes together nicely. There aren’t too many novel or advanced techniques, but it’s still a fun and nostalgic experience that makes it worth it. I have only 2 things that I felt lacked: 1. It would have been nice to have more Koroks. If I remember correctly, there are only 4. However, there are a couple extra Korok face pieces, so I made a 2 more of my own with some extra parts. 2. It would have been nice to have some wooden Forest Dweller weapons. IMO, the Traveller’s Shield as the only wooden shield seems off theme for the Deku Tree and a missed opportunity to create some beautiful unique weapons.

They don't box what they ship
I do not know why you do not ship your products in a box. Ruined the Christmas gift.

Great LEGO set, but...
There was this one part when building the set in the instructions page 165, and the little white screw-ey pieces do not fit all the way in and block each other. This wouldn't be. much of a problem if you could get them out. They were so difficult to get out that they would barely budge with the brick separator or even my teeth. This was just an awful part of the set and now I have circular LEGO marks in my skin. Nice pretty set overall though!

Wonderful tribute to Zelda
I built the BotW version and all that's missing is a cadre of Koroks. Hope they release a Lego Koroks soon!

Utterly disappointed
Item was shipped without shipping box. Visibly damaged. For the price of this item it should be handled with more care! The box isn’t factory sealed—it is re-taped so may be even missing pieces. This was meant to be a gift, now am unable to do so.

Its wonderfull to have a Zelda set.
This set is decent for play, great for display, has cmf level minfigure (I would hope so for its price point). This set is amazing and I'm gratefull to have a Zelda set. Especally becuase its based on my to two favorite games from the series. Know I do have some gripes to share but I by no means hate this set. The only thing 18+ about this set is price my little ten year old brother built the whole thing. It should be considered that we are already lego fans. So if the rating is for the those unexperinced with lego then fair it takes some amount of patince. Link (hero of the wild) got cracks in his left side early on despite us being gentle with the model. He appears to have gained these cracks from sitting on the shelf and not being played with. I would send a picture but the cracks are to small to see on my phones camra which means its not much of a nuasunce but cracks usally grow. I wish there were to master swords. There are three links and only one can weild the sword of evils bane at a time. The price is forgivible as its a licensed set and a new licensed set. Still overall im so happy to have a Zelda set i hope they make more. Rumor has it will get a diroma from OoT with ganondorf and link in it for 100 dollars. I would love that. I want to have some bokhoblins though and havent found any great moc desgins for them yet.

Great, but missing something
I love it. But there is one big thing missing that I don't like. I was building the Deku Tree for OOT when I got to the step to attach the leaves. There are not enough of the smaller leaves that connect to the big leaves to fill in the tree top.

Missing Pieces
I have no way to write to lego themselves and the set is already built. However there were so many missing pieces while i was building that I had to improvise the way of the set to get it to work. There was also extra pieces that were not in the instructions at all.

Good for seasoned and newer Zelda players
It is very nice, I recommend doing the Ocarina of Time one if you like more moving parts, and if you want a more simple build, the Breath of the Wild one is more simple but it does have a little bit of Technic that can be a little tricky if your a beginner.

Best Build Experience Ever (for a Zelda fan)
I am a huge Zelda fan and I really do think this will influence your enjoyment of the building experience. Revisiting adolescent memories of playing Ocarina of Time or more recent joys of playing Breath of the Wild. The value for money is questionable for non-Zelda fans and I'm unsure whether the excitement around having Link and Zelda mini-figures will be quite the same as it was for me. I decided to build the Breath of the Wild Deku Tree, but I did add some of the Ocarina of Time build from the spare bags I had at the end of the build. It looks amazing and is a surprising deep (as in the depth) set with the Master Sword added onto the front of the Deku tree and as such as I have kept this separate. I feel it is the must-buy set for a big Zelda fan, and a high recommendation for people who enjoy Nintendo and Zelda games. But for anyone unfamiliar with Zelda, the cost and piece count struggle to make it value for money.

Great Build Spanning Generations!
My wife and I LOVED this 2-in-1 set. She grew up playing the original LoZ games, so she chose to build this as the older style Deku tree. It was extremely well thought out as a set, as it appeals both to the older collectors as well as the younger builders who have grown up with BotW being their generation's LoZ game! Absolutely one of our favorites.

Peak Lego Experience
As a Zelda player from a young age, I was hyped when I found out they were dropping this awesome set. It’s really cool, crazy attention to detail, definitely made by a Zelda nerd. Love this set, I would love to see more,

It’s amazing however….
I really like it it’s genuinely amazing my only real complaints is there isn’t an ocarina of time version of Zelda included and I wish there were more affordable Zelda sets but other than that I love it

Worst Instructions for a Build I’ve Ever Seen
I love the legend of Zelda and when I saw this set come out I had to have it. It’s a pretty cool set, but can’t do a whole lot with it when most is just the tree. That is not why I’m leaving a review though. My complaint is the instructions. Ocarina of time is my all time favorite video game so of course I did that build. First 9 bags are fine. THEN you pull 1 piece out of bag 10, literally one piece, then open bag 14 for 3 pieces and then let’s jump all the way to bag 23. Now I have 3 open bags to sort through to do this build. ALSO, it says you take 2 pieces out of bag 10, but that’s a lie. The second piece is actually in bag 14. It took me 10 minutes to realize this after searching and searching through bag 10. Luckily it made no sense so I went to the second page and saw to open bag 14. Surely the piece was in bag 14. Lego could have put out 2 different sets for Zelda and then you wouldn’t have all these extra pieces that aren’t going to be used. Could have cut the price down too. Overall just a very frustrating build to the point that I am miserable trying to build this and dreading every page I turn in worry that I’ll have to bust open another bag before finishing the 3 bags that are already open. 10 bags in and leaving a 3 star review. I have built many many legos sets over the years and this one is by far the most mind numbingly tedious build I’ve done yet.

Dream set come true
Lego and Zelda have both been huge parts of my life for as long as I can remember. While this set is expensive, they make it worth it. The quality here cannot be beat. The build was so much fun and the playability and display ability are both top notch

Damaged box
Bought this as a gift for my father and upon arrival the box was open, wrinkled up, and scrapped. We had to count all the bags of legos to make sure all of the Lego's were still there. Highly disappointed at the shipping of these Lego's as the other sets we have ordered have came perfectly fine. Will not be buying legos from Target Shipping again.
