More of a keepsake than a toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the LEGO Mineral Collection complimentary from @influenster and gave it to my son, who has always loved precious stones, geodes, rocks and LEGO—so it felt like the perfect match for him. He was instantly excited and really enjoyed building it, taking his time with the details and colours. It was lovely to see how engaged he was, especially because it combines two things he’s genuinely interested in. Once finished, he was so proud of it and wanted to display it straight away. There are better sets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There were some missing pieces, making this difficult to put together. We had to go back and restart using extra pieces in place of the missing ones. It looks cool when done and makes the minerals look like they have different shapes and textured crystals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the LEGO Mineral Collection and honestly surprised me in the best way. From the start, it feels more like building a piece of art than a toy. The crystal builds are the highlight. LEGO did an amazing job using transparent and layered pieces to make each mineral look realistic and unique. My favorites were the amethyst and fluorite the colors really pop once everything is assembled. The build process itself was relaxing and enjoyable, not frustrating, which made it perfect for unwinding after a long day. The display shelves are simple but practical. While they aren’t as exciting as the crystals themselves, they do a good job of framing the minerals and making the whole set feel like something you’d see in a museum or on a décor shelf. Once finished, it looks great on a desk or bookshelf and always gets comments from visitors. This isn’t a playset, and it’s definitely geared more toward adults or collectors. If you enjoy mindful builds, unique display pieces, or anything related to geology or design, this set is absolutely worth it. For the quality, creativity, and finished look make it feel like a solid value.

Beautiful Display
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you enjoy LEGO as art and display, love unique builds, and or are into minerals, this set is highly recommended and it’s visually stunning. My 10 year old and I have been building this together and we have thoroughly enjoyed it, some of the minerals weren’t as straightforward to build but not hard either. You just need to follow the instruction well enough. It’s a beautiful LEGO set and the pieces are well made. Definitely made to last long.

The perfect way to unwind!

The manual is super helpful when it comes to building and it’s easy to follow. The set itself is absolutely stunning. I spent maybe 4 days building (between being a mum) but was so much fun!

Missing piece

Unfortunately, this was missing one of the essential pieces, so my daughter was heartbroken at first. Thankfully, she has other Lego sets, so we were able the find the needed piece (in a different color) in order to complete the set. It's a very nice set and a fun build, but you have yo include all needed pieces.

Realistic set that is aesthetically pleasing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lego ideas mineral collection for free from influenster in exchange for my honest review. The set is very innovative as I never thought crystals would become a theme for a lego build. The set comprises of 6 different crystal builds and the stands that resemble an actual set of crystals. The build is targeted for adults as it is ages 18+ and the colour scheme of the bricks are based on actual crystals. The set can be displayed at home as an ornament after building and can be rearranged to preference which is aesthetically pleasing. Even when the stands and crystals are moved, they do not come apart easily and are very sturdy once built. The instructions are easy to follow and building this set was soothing for the soul and also gives a sense of achievement. I believe the set would make a perfect gift for those who are crafty or have creative minds. It is the perfect activity during cold winter evenings and in fact a great activity for a friend get together.

Mineral Collection
Overall, the build was fun. Because it came with multiple direction booklets, I was able to split it, and I had 2 friends build with me. We each did a section. The others weren't as experienced as me. One had a little trouble, but I think that was skill level. We had a good time. The only issue we had was the colors in the booklets were off. It was almost like the printer was running out of ink. It was weird. I haven't seen that before. All in all, was a fun build and I would recommend.

Aesthetically unappealing, badly designed
The people who finalized and approved this design should really find another line of work. This set looks really bad. Never been more disappointed. It’s taking everything in me to not turn down the gift, I just don’t want to be rude to the person who gifted it to me.

Beautiful display piece
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set! My 8 year old loves Lego and also collects gemstones so it was perfect for him to build. It’s a beautiful display piece. The biggest complaint was that one of the instruction booklets was misprinted and was missing some pages while other pages were out of order. But we just used the instructions online and everything came together.

Love it but my poor old eyes...
I am glad to see that I am not the only one who had a hard time distinguishing between colors in the instructions. It was incredibly frustrating. This is the only drawback of this set in my opinion. I hope to see additional "specimens" although I am guessing that this set is not a best seller deserving of a sequel.

My favourite Lego set to date

So excited to build it and it’s going to be on display in my bookcase, my son is obsessed with rocks and minerals and we regularly visit our local museum which has them on display so this is perfect, It’s 18+ so aimed at adults but the enjoyment we will all get from it is limitless. It’s got easy to follow step by step instructions and is built to last. The box was damaged on arrival but I’m not keeping the box anyway so it’s not an issue
