Snazzy little device that makes coloring up tad ea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the color Sonic hair color device by L'Oreal in exchange for my honest review. I was super excited about trying this and it didn't disappoint, however it will take some practice to get it done pat. I have very long hair so getting the length without making a mess it was quite the chore. I do love the fact that the comb through device does make it easier in getting the roots without leaving a horrible mess on my skin, granted it did have some transfer to the skin which I definitely expected. The device also helps to achieve a more even coloring throughout your whole head of hair. The after cleaning process is also very simple and effective so that was nice. The one drawback I do notice to this particular device is that the color choices are limited to more of a normal selection of colors, there's not a whole lot of different color choices that somebody that might want a little more unique of a look would want. However for basic coloring this is great and I have no real complaints.

cleaner and stress-free
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After used the L’Oreal Paris ColorSonic Hair Color Device, and honestly, it changed how I feel about coloring my hair at home. When I opened the box, everything felt clean and well-organized. The device looked modern, not like a typical box dye. Instructions were simple, and I didn’t feel overwhelmed like I usually do with at-home color kits. Using it was very straightforward. I just inserted the cartridge, twisted to activate, pressed the button, and it was ready. It felt like holding a thick comb—light and comfortable in my hand. This part surprised me the most. I literally brushed the color onto my hair. No bowl, no brush, no mixing. It glided smoothly from roots to ends, and I could easily reach the back of my head. It took much less time than traditional dye. Almost no mess at all. Nothing dripped, nothing splattered, and my sink stayed clean. I didn’t have to worry about stains on the counter or floor. That alone made it worth it for me. The color came out even and natural. My gray roots were fully covered, and the shade matched what was on the box. My hair felt soft afterward, not dry or damaged. After using ColorSonic, I don’t want to go back to regular box dye. It made the whole process faster, cleaner, and stress-free. It feels like having a mini salon tool at home.

Hard to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this product hard to use. I was pretty stressed coming into it even after watching the video. I didn’t have a lot of luck getting the product to lay well and or stay in my hair.

Fantastic product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter used this product and absolutely loved it. She liked how easy the instructions were, how easy the application was to go on. She also liked the consistency of the product and how it was mess free and that the smell wasn't too strong. I will be using the next box that came with it. I'm so excited

Not worth the hype
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really hopeful but very disappointed. The tool is harder to use than the typical squeeze bottle, and makes much more of a mess because of how bulky it is. The dye smells so strong, its all I smelt for hours after. Doesn't save time, doesn't improve the experience. Gave 2 stars because it still technically did what it promised, and the color was nice.

Must try
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly loved using the L’Oréal Paris Color Sonic device in Medium Brown. The applicator makes at-home coloring so much easier and less messy than traditional box dye. The color turned out rich, natural, and really even, and my hair still felt soft afterward. It didn’t feel harsh on my scalp, which I really appreciated. Such a convenient way to refresh your color at home . I’d definitely use it again!

Easy, clean root maintenance at home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hair definitely takes color differently from roots to ends. The warmth from the scalp, previously colored mid-lengths, and more porous ends all affect how pigment absorbs. Because of that, using the same formula from roots through lengths can give uneven results if you’re trying to do a full color refresh. This device doesn’t allow you to adjust developer strength or work in different zones, so it’s not the best option for full-length coloring or color correction. Where it really shines is root touch-ups and maintenance. The application feels controlled and much cleaner than traditional box dye, with no dripping or mess, which makes it easy to use at home between salon visits. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow, and the device felt intuitive once I got started. Cleaning was simple — the applicator head wiped clean easily. It also stores well and feels sturdy enough to keep in a bathroom cabinet without taking up much space.

Must try for extending your salon visits
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can see why this device is award winning. It's an amazing product. L'Oréal has made it SO easy to color your hair at home. The part I loved that I always struggle with is getting the back colored sufficiently and this tool helps get it on and get distributed. They have a different piece you can snap on for longer hair. Clean up is a breeze and all you need is warm tap water. It disassembles quick and is totally portable! My color didn't turn out great but I think I needed to leave it in longer. I also probably needed a darker color to handle my regrowth versus the 7 I had ordered. I was nervous at first getting the kit started but next time I will feel comfortable. This is a real game changer for root touchups and so convenient for extending trips to the salon. I hope they add more color options in the future!

I Tried the L’Oreal Colorsonic for My Roots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been coloring my hair at home for years, and let’s be real: it’s usually a chore. Between the messy squeeze bottles, the accidental stains on the bathroom rug, and the inevitable "missed spot" at the back of my head, I was ready for a change. Finally I got to use the L'Oreal Colorsonic, and after one session, I have some thoughts. The Setup and Prep First things first—this isn't your typical "shake and squeeze" box dye. You buy the device once, and then you buy the specific color cartridges separately. Before I even touched the device, I followed the rules: I took the online shade quiz to make sure I wasn't guessing on the color, and I did the allergy patch test 48 hours early. Pro Tip: Do not skip the prep! I spent a good five minutes thoroughly brushing and finger-combing my dry hair. If your hair has tangles, the oscillating bristles on the device won’t glide through as easily. Also, take off your rings and earrings—you don't want permanent dye on your jewelry. The Application Experience The "Pick, Pop, Press" system is actually very satisfying. You just pop the cartridge into the handle, and it’s ready. The device itself feels sturdy but not too heavy. When you press the button, the bristles start moving to automatically mix the color and distribute it. It felt like I was just brushing my hair, but I could see the color being deposited deep into my roots. Because the bristles part the hair for you, I felt way more confident about the back of my head than I usually do. The Speed: They claim 5 minutes for application, and they aren't kidding. It’s incredibly fast. I usually spend 20 minutes sectioning my hair with a comb, so this saved me a massive amount of time. Plus, the formula is Ammonia-Free, so I didn’t have to deal with that overwhelming chemical smell that usually gives me a headache.

Innovative but a little awkward
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An innovative device but a little awkward learning to use and while using. I’m glad I was able to test this out but do I think it’s necessary? Not really. I think I’ll stick to my box dye because at least I know the dye is coming out and won’t get stuck. With the device it’s hard to know if you’re getting all the spots or if there’s any dye coming out at all. Plus, it’s pretty pricey just for a device to help you dye your hair and having to buy the cartridges separately. Innovative but this is definitely not a necessity.

Nice package with everything you need
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with the packaging. There is a QR code so that you can watch to see how the device works. It includes a mat that could be washed down for easy cleanup as well as washable gloves. The device was a little drippy, but nothing major. Unfortunately it did not cover my grays after I do the root application, but that may be due to the blonde color and darker color may work better.

Super easy, mess-free way to get even hair color a
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked using the L’Oréal Paris Colorsonic Hair Color Device. It’s lightweight and easy to hold, and the application felt smooth and not messy at all. The color came out even, especially at the roots, and I didn’t have to worry about dripping or making a mess like with regular box dye. Charging was easy, and cleanup was simple too. It definitely made coloring my hair at home faster and less stressful.

convenient tool with a small learning curve
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received for free from Influenster ColorSonic device ffom L’Oreal Paris in exchange for my honest review. The ColorSonic device is very easy to assemble and feels user-friendly right out of the box. Applying the color is straightforward, but you do need to be careful while using it since the dye can drip if the device is tilted the wrong way. With mindful handling, it works well. Cleaning is simple and quick, which is a big plus after coloring. Overall, a convenient tool with a small learning curve.

Love the concept
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the concept of ease to dye hair at home. Sometimes, it is tough to do it yourself. Putting it together is easy but takes time to figure it out. Liquid comes out pretty good, a little messy. I think it just needs to do a few times to practice. I actually practiced without the dye to learn. Definitely needed to read directions and do. each step thoroughly. It is a little heavy to use and has to hold tight. The brush part does go thru hair nicely. The color was amazing for my hair. The softness after it was also nice.

Loreal Colorsonic Hair Color Device
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was gifted to me by Loreal and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This device is so cool! The cartridges are easy to install and it makes coloring your hair an absolute breeze because it’s just like you’re brushing it instead of trying to wipe it on evenly. Cleaning was also way easier than I thought it would be. I really hope they add more hues because I could definitely see myself using this all the time when I want to update my hair color.

So easy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was genuinely impressed with the L’Oréal Colorsonic Hair Color Device—it makes at-home hair coloring feel modern, clean, and surprisingly easy. Odor: One of the biggest wins for me was the odor. Unlike traditional box dyes with strong chemical smells, the Colorsonic formula has a much lighter, more tolerable scent. It didn’t linger or feel overwhelming, which made the whole process more comfortable. Cleaning: Cleaning the device was straightforward and hassle-free. The detachable parts rinse clean easily, and there’s no messy mixing bowls or brushes to scrub afterward. It feels far more hygienic than traditional at-home dye kits. Storage: The device is sleek and compact, so storing it is simple. Everything fits neatly together, and it doesn’t take up much space in my bathroom cabinet. I also like that it looks modern and not cluttered or bulky. Hair: My hair turned out evenly colored and soft, not dry or brittle. The device dispenses the product consistently, which really helps avoid patchy spots. It felt gentle on my hair and left it looking smooth and healthy after rinsing. Value: While the upfront cost is higher than a standard box dye, the convenience, reduced mess, and professional-looking results make it worth it—especially if you color your hair regularly. It feels like a smart investment for stress-free at-home coloring. ✨ Overall: This device takes the intimidation out of coloring your hair at home. Clean, easy, and effective—I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a more polished DIY hair color experience.

Cover working area
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like this was a little time-consuming, and it was also a little messy I love the idea of combing the product into your hair and having even distribution . I feel like a lot of product was wasted in the dripping process as well however the color took well and the results were pretty decent
