Q: Has anyone tried using water instead of milk? If so does it taste different?

A: I used water when I didn’t have milk, it still turned out fine and tasted fine.

Easy, crowd pleasing cornbread
Follow the instructions and you’ll get great cornbread. Not sure what happened with the bad reviews but you can’t go wrong here. It’s a win every time. The corn pudding recipe on the box is also five stars. Super easy to make and a crowd pleaser. I modify the recipe a bit to suit our taste and can guarantee the batter still comes out great. Bonus points for that!

Can't understand why anyone would rate poorly and wish I had taken a pic now, some of these low reviews with crazy outcomes - pretty confident it was a user error on their end. Followed the package exactly, barely buttered up my baking dish and came out more than expected. The sweetness from honey was much appreciated.

Holy Smokes - So GOOD
I can't understand any bad reviews of this product. It is absolutely sensational! I used melted butter instead of oil, maybe that is the trick? I didn't have a square, pan to cook, so I just used a round 9 inch cake pan. Absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to make it again! It was -8 degrees last night, so this addition to our family chili night, with the playoffs was a WIN!

All I can say is “WOW”! I’m not much of a cornbread fiend but this mix is astonishing. So I swapped the vegetable oil for avocado oil, followed the rest of the instructions, and at the last second did one extra handful of granulated sugar. It is fluffy and sweet on the inside and carmelized golden crunchy on the outside. Just scrumptious.

It's a hard "No" for meh
I've made this twice. Followed directions and the result was disgusting, dough like uncooked taste even when so called fully done. This is also disgustly sweet. Will not purchase again.
