Description

Contra: The Board Game is a cooperative game of run-and-gun action for 1–4 players, based on the world-famous Contra video game series by Konami. Featuring multiple types of fixed decks that can be combined in different ways. Contra: The Board Game allows players to create their own unique game experience and challenges every time they play!

Choose your commando deck from among four of the most qualified soldiers Contra has to offer. Choose one of four enemy decks to fight, each one led by a deadly boss that must be destroyed to continue your mission. Choose a stage deck to traverse, providing one of four hostile environments that you must survive and do battle in.

Use your cards to gain the advantage, acquire special weapons to stand toe-to-toe with the enemy, and complete objectives to punch a hole in their defenses!

Prepare to be dropped behind enemy lines and fight not only for your own survival, but the entire world’s, in Contra: The Board Game!

Misleading item photo

This is only based upon opening my package and looking at the board game that I am writing this review, I will update once I have played the game it looks fun! My only gripe is this: the photos that Target has posted for this show that the game comes with miniatures and if you zoom in you can clearly see them shown in the listing photo. What I received is the version containing just the punchboard standees which is fine, however I based my purchase solely on the photos Target has for the Contra Board Game. Mistakes happen, I am actually not upset however you folks should really change this misleading photo to reflect what the customer is truly purchasing. I have attached my own photos of the game that I received to show that it is indeed the version containing the punchboard character standees and NOT the miniatures as the item listing photos led me to believe I was purchasing.
