A: The float valve drops into the lid when all steam is released indicating that is safe to open the lid.

This Instapot is The best one I have owned!
I have had this for about 3 weeks. I have made a whole chicken, hot spiced cider, stew and steaks in here. I absolutely love this is made wider than most instapots and it holds so much. I also love that it has a stainless steel pot! As long as you deglaze while it is hot, everything comes right off. I do use olive oil to help with that as well. Super easy to use and clean.

I’m very disappointed with this Instapot. I tried using the sauté/fry function several times, but it kept shutting off and didn’t cook properly at all. The food wasn’t frying — it would just heat up a little and then stop working. I reinstalled and restarted it a few times, but nothing helped. I wasted so much time trying to make it work, so I’m returning it. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this product

Bought this to replace my 15 y.o. instant pot that recently died. Opened box, washed everything, first time used and it leaks steam from the lid. Tried again and the steam was leaking even worse. Readjusting the seal didn’t help, it’s almost like the lid wasn’t formed correctly.
