Hefty Ecosave Compostable Cutlery - 24ct

I am so happy with this product, I bought a few boxes for my son and his family to try. They hold up well and I have washed (hand) and re-used each type of utensil without a problem.

I like the feel of these much better than typical plastic cutlery, they are lighter and softer feeling. Love that they are compostable - I don’t typically use plastic cutlery due to the waste but this little box is perfect for on the go.

Typically, plastic ware fork, spoon, and knife sets are filled with the one utensil (the knife🙄) that is very rarely needed, and less of what is actually needed (forks and spoons). This is soooo annoying. 🙄 Not in this case, though! Again, an even divide! 🥄🍴Nice price! I definitely recommend! Hopefully, the price will not be higher if I need to purchase again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this product because I love the idea of more eco‑friendly, compostable options—but the durability just wasn’t there. I tested the cutlery while scooping Nutella, and I had multiple spoons break during that process. For something that’s supposed to be a practical replacement for regular plastic, it just didn’t hold up to even basic use. The eco part is great, but the performance didn’t meet my expectations. I wouldn’t purchasing it unless the durability improves.

I composed as much as I can at home with my electric composer and so compostable cutlery seems like it would be really good for the environment. This compostable cutlery set from hefty comes with eight place settings of forks, knifes , and spoons. I like the design on the handles of the color. It's really cute. Unfortunately, when I used the knife at dinner and try to cut my chicken, it snapped. I also don't like that you have to compose these utensils a special facility. It would be cooler if you could just plant them in your garden and let them decompose that way. I do not feel comfortable putting this cutlery in my electric home composter. I believe that if you have composting in your city, you can probably dispose these that way, but it cost money for that service. Maybe if a cutlery was made of compostable paper or wood that could be a little better for the environment.

The packaging is great for traveling. The best part is that they are compostable. I always hate using plastic silverware that will just sit in a landfill. These are a wonderful upgrade.
