I previously had Chromecast with Google TV so this is an upgrade with more storage, better processor, faster streaming. Same UI, similar remote. Works just like the old one but only better. Got it on Black Friday for $75.

isn't all that
provides batteries for your remote but not an HDMI cord that is needed for the device. very odd. prefer my chromecast which they conveniently discontinued not long ago. They don't even have certain apps on the Streamer compared to the Chromecast. Seems like a downgrade to me and overpriced.

Sleek and Simple

There was no decline in picture quality with this streaming device. The remote works well. I enjoy the simple sleek design of the device. It is compact and blends into any space.

Intuitive UI and speedy execution

The UI is significantly better than the original chromecast, and heaps better than the Amazon firestick. The setup took approximately 10 minutes and requires a google account. Really love this design tbh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google streamer is ok. If you have roku or firestick, I would recommend those products over the Google TV streamer. The remote is nice and sleek. The connectivity is a bit cumbersome. You'll need to plug in an adapter and use an hdmi cord (2 cords) to connect the device to your TV. If you're like me, most of your administration ports are taken from other devices ( i.e., game consoles).

Good, But Not Worth the Price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a long-time user of other competitors popular streaming devices, I was curious to see how Google’s 4K TV Streamer would compare. Right off the bat, I was surprised that it didn’t come with an HDMI cable, especially considering the price. Most other streaming devices offer everything you need to plug in and go, but fortunately, I had a spare cable lying around. Setup was pretty straightforward and took around 30 minutes. However, I did run into some trouble trying to pair it with my soundbar. Once that was sorted, the device performed well, but I did find it a bit frustrating to troubleshoot initially. The remote is compact and user-friendly, and I like the built-in voice control, though it's designed to integrate with other Google products that I don’t own. For anyone already invested in Google’s home products, that feature would likely be more useful. One standout feature is the “find remote” button on the back of the unit. I’ve lost track of remotes more times than I care to admit, so this is a nice touch—it makes the remote beep when you press the button on the device. In terms of app selection, Google’s TV Streamer doesn’t disappoint, offering a good range of apps to choose from. Streaming quality is solid with great picture clarity, but when I try to watch live content, like NBA League Pass, it tends to freeze and get blurry. I’ve also had a few instances where the audio was out of sync, which can be frustrating. The device itself is compact, which I appreciate, but I really wish it were available in black. The white finish sticks out against my other devices, and I'd prefer it to blend in a bit more. All things considered, while the Google TV Streamer (4K) delivers many of the same features as less expensive alternatives, it comes at a premium price. For the average user, there are other options out there that offer the same performance for less money.

Wonderful, easy TV streaming!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this TV streamer! I got the whole thing plugged in and running in about 10 minutes. It may take longer if you don’t have a Google account but I don’t imagine it’s very hard to make one. No connection issues what so ever. Picture quality and sound seem great. The remote is easy enough my five year old can work it on his own. I really like this TV streamer and would buy one again in the future.

Sleek design and easy use

Setting up my Netflix and Hulu were super easy along with my other subscriptions. Remote control is easy to use with home button taking you out the apps with ease. Great alternative to Apple TV with ease of use.
