Q: is the roku stick compatible with an older samsung tv ? i see that you're supposed to connect the roku cord to hdmi and to another source but im not sure the tv has the other one.
A: Hello Ally, Roku devices work on any TV with an HDMI port. the other cable is a USB that most TVs with HDMI ports have as well. If your TV does not have a USB port you can plug into AC power.

Q: I already have a Roku TV is there a need for this stick does it upgrade my TV and if so what would the upgrades be? Also does this come with backlit buttons?
A: Hello C, You do not need a Roku device for a Roku TV as it's the same operating system in both with marginal performance enhancements. This model does not come with the Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd Gen) which has the back lit buttons but you can always purchase that remote separately and use it on any Roku TV. There are still benefits to having a Roku device such as; portability, turning non smart TVs into Roku Smart TVs or even other smart TVs into Roku TVs.

Latest Roku OS: It will come with the absolute latest version of the Roku operating system and will continue to receive updates, which your Roku TV also gets, but perhaps the stick might be optimized for newer features slightly better. Q: Does it work on ALL Roku TVs? Will it work on Roku TVs purchased 3-5 years ago?
A: Hello Sharon, this device isn't needed for a Roku TV as it already has the Roku operating system built in. This device will work on any TV with an HDMI port if you'd still like to purchase it.
