Provides the peace of mind our family was looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Nest Cam! Our son is on the spectrum and is prone to eloping, so this Nest Cam provides us with the peace of mind we need just in case he happens to wander off. We're super impressed by how well the camera captures detail in low light/nighttime. We also love that this Nest Cam has built-in intelligent alerts that can differentiate between people, animals, and vehicles! The zoom and crop feature is super helpful, but I would've loved it if the Nest Cam had a pan/tilt feature, too. It's also super convenient that the Nest Cam provides 6 hours of video history in clips that are just 10 seconds long! The Nest Cam was super easy to install by following the instructions, and it works seamlessly with our Google Home app (but we may be biased because we're a Google Pixel family).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using the Google Nest Outdoor Security Camera to monitor our pool area, and it's been a great setup for peace of mind. The video quality is clear day and night, and the wide view makes it easy to see what's going on outside at a glance. You can use this camera without a subscription and still get the live view, motion alerts, and short event clips, which is enough for everyday monitoring. I like knowing I'll get notified if there's movement near the pool even if I'm not checking the app constantly. With a subscription, you get longer video history and smarter event tracking, which is helpful if you want to go back and review activity from earlier days or missed alerts. I like having that-option, especially when we're away. Overall, it's easy to use, reliable, and works really well for outdoor areas like a pool where visibility and quick alerts matter.

It is built well, and the sounds is good. I love that it send notifications to your phone when someone is nearby and it seems to be very reliable so far. I do not mind that it is wired for power.

Easy to set up security

It was extremely easy to set up wherever you’d like - just screw in the backer plate, add the magnet mount, and the camera attaches magnetically. The quality is good, a nice wide lens, and an optional microphone to hear what’s going on. I haven’t gotten any alerts yet - thankfully - as it’s in the backyard.

Picture is clear. Not recommended for high wind areas of the house, as it is held by a magnet and not any screws. It is hardy, but time will tell with our weather here how it holds up.

Great Outdoor Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this 2K outdoor Nest camera to review for an honest review. I’m really impressed with the quality of this camera. The video is incredibly sharp, fast and has a wide point of view. When you power on and connect to the app, it guides you along on how to install. When I saw that power tools were needed, initially I was worried that it might be involved. However, all you need to do is get two screws into a plastic plate and the rest is magnetic. The only thing I found a little challenging was the length of the power cable. It is incredibly long. I know that it’s hard to know how long a cable needs to be. For me I didn’t need all the length, but I can see where it would be needed in some cases. The firmware updated when setting up the camera in the app. The camera is good at notifications and especially people notification. This is my first Nest camera device and I’ll consider adding more in the future. I would appreciate the ability to have these supported by Matter. I’m very impressed by this camera and will recommend to others looking for a quality camera for monitoring their home.

Simple to install, stellar image quality, differen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love our Nest Cam! We got it to monitor our backyard and pond area for animals. We've been suspecting that raccoons are getting into the bird feeder, and have also seen a coyote and fox from the deck. I wanted to confirm my suspicions with a good quality night camera. My husband actually installed it on the deck gazebo because the camera mount is magnetic. Then we just plugged it in to the outdoor outlet that the deck lights plug into. The image quality is fantastic, I can't wait to find out what animals are visiting us at night!

Great Quality Outdoor Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received the Google Nest Outdoor Camera. The camera came with everything I needed to install right in the box and it was very simple to install. It has you scan the QR code on the camera with the Google Home app and walks you thru setting it up. I set it up on my shed outside so it can see my entire backyard, pool and driveway. It does a good job capturing everything. Picks up clear audio. You can set up different event alerts that allows you to pick up people, pets, cars, or other motion. So far I am very happy with the camera. I will have to test during rain or at night to see what the video quality looks like.

We kept putting off getting an outdoor security camera, because the choices are overwhelming, but we are super happy with our choice. Strong magnetic base on camera and very clear images. Setup was straightforward. Be aware that you do have to download the Google Home App to use, but having to use an app is pretty standard with security systems these days, I think. Overall, we’ve been very happy with this camera!

Peace of mind + easy setup (if we can do it, anyon

I’ll be honest—I used to rely on wireless cameras, but the stress of wondering if the batteries were low was getting old. I was a little intimidated by the idea of a "wired" setup at first, but my 13-year-old son helped me put this up, and we knocked it out in no time! If we can do it, literally anyone can. Since we already have the Nest thermostat, getting this connected to the Google Home app was total plug-and-play. The video quality is crisp, but the biggest win for me is ditching the charging routine. I hated having to climb up and take my old cameras down from the mount just to charge them. Now, it’s just always on and always recording, which is a serious upgrade for my peace of mind.
