Simple
Awesome. Very simple features - just had to take a little time to adjust to it (like anything that’s new)

I’m sure it’ll be much better!
The jury is still out. Making some progress, but for some reason, it’s not tracking steps or my sleep among other other things. The fact that there is no support on the weekends is pathetic. I will it was quite easy to get a live human of the line for a previous Support incident hunt. He is quite helpful, spoke with without a heavy accent, high-pitched voice and fully understood English but I felt he was under pressure to keep the call to a specified amount of time.

AWESOME WATCH
I bought this a few weeks ago, and this is an upgrade from a Fitbit Inspire 3, so I love this so, so much. I am a competitive high school runner who does track and xc and I love how the watch doesn't turn off. The battery life is so so good

Program needs to complete rewrite. From my laptop or my phone, either one, not necessarily both, in an outline format, I should be able to see all the primary, secondary, tertiary screens ending with a series of screens for to record the activities/results. I should be easily able to select out and turn off both the primary and the second etc. facilities that I don’t wanna see or use or have to deal with. Obviously, the buttons would have to be organized in such a man who has to deal with this approach. One I’m not interested in most of those things and two I don’t want to take the time to learn how to use them. I want just the basics. Fitness doesn’t have to be the complicated and like every other program 98% of the universe are smart use by 20% of the Software capability We just no reason why it has to be so difficult to use the device. This is about my fifth Garmin forerunner-device and my second in just the last month however, referring to the first one because it was just ridiculously complicated. I figured cheaper models would have lost confusion installed. The instruction that I saw that came with this device were essentially nonexistent I have used an Apple Watch an older model that has to be recharged every day which I simply won’t tolerate which is the reason continue to use Garmin, for the time being.

Good for swimming
Had a Forerunner 45 but wanted to have watch for swimming so picked the Forerunner 55. So far it has worked great! Handles running and biking like the 45 and has counted/measure swimming laps accurately. So far so good.

Not typical Garmin intuitive features
I returned it after a day, bought a Spade watch instead. Very easy to use.

Simple and great
It is simple, it is working. I never had an issue with it and I am very satisfied with this watch. It has almost everything I need. If there should be one point to improve, would be the possibility to choose strength training among activities, as that is important for runners.

Great simple watch
If you’re looking for a simple no frills watch, this is it. I was looking at upgrading from my Apple Watch but didn’t want too many features just needed to map my runs. I recommend this watch for the simplicity and convenience.

Can’t imagine running without it.
I have been running for 45 years. I couldn’t imagine I would ever be more dedicated and motivated, but I was wrong. Since wearing my Garmin my running has been gone through the roof. I have 715 running activities for 7811.1 miles. Now I can’t imagine running without it.

The perfect, basic running watch
For the price, the Forerunner 55 has exactly what’s necessary for training and races. Good battery life as well.

A basic running watch - I still recommend for newer runners.
Initially had some issues with recording, the distance calculations were pretty far off two other running/gps watches. After a couple of resets it was performing better, but it was annoying that it didn't work after the first initial setup. Overall this is a decent introductory running watch that doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the fancier ones. Obvious statement I'm making here but at it's price point it does have the benefit of recording activity that just wasn't readily available 20 years ago.

Love the battery life
Just stepped up from Forerunner 45 and I like the battery life on the 55 much better w/o the extra features the watch has being too complicated for my lack of patience. After first charge I went 13 days wearing it 24/7 and using it to track my runs, and it still had 18% battery life. Love this watch

55
I have been wearing a forerunner for over 10 years. My last was was forerunner 735. I loved that it lasted 8 years. I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money, so I bought the 55. I do like it very much. The only thing I do not like is the size. The circumference of the face is smaller and so is the band. But that’s my fault that I did not look at this before I bought it. I use it for tracking running and my daily exercise. I would definitely recommend.

Connection problems
Me and my sibling share a phone and have identical watches but after a little my data stops showing up on my account and syncing again doesn’t work even fully resetting my watch only fixes it briefly.

You may be experiencing connection and sync issues if you have more than one device paired to a single smartphone. There can be issues communicating with the app when you are using multiple accounts on one app. I would recommend using a different mobile device such as a tablet, or Garmin Express on your computer.

Solid starter watch, works great - menu a tad confusing
Only used about 2 months, fantastic amount of info from this thing on runs. I find moving around on the watch interface a bit tough at times but for the price this watch is wonderful value. Would recommend.
