Fresh Step Premium Non-Clumping Clay Litter - 21 LBS

I thought I was getting the regular cat litter. But what I'm been beginning lately is the freaking sand litter!!! It does not work at all!!! I have to change the litter box like literally every other day because instead of being a clump it's the whole sandbox.. I want my money back and changing brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and it was a pretty bad decision. Typically I love FreshStep Products, but this one really missed the mark. Why would someone buy non-clumping litter? That was my bad, but still this litter tracks like crazy even with a XL litter mat on the bottom of the pan. The litter itself is super dusty and the rocks are fairly large, not to mention that the scent is non-existent.

I only use Fresh Step non clumping litter because I have long haired cats. However this last bag I bought was nothing but dust. Not sure what happened with the quality of this litter.

Compared to arm and hammer double duty. This stuff is terrible. We’re sending it back to where we bought it, not recommended, even if on sale.

I have been using the product for years because it was good. So, now they have added fragrance and the clay itself is dustier than ever. Very Disappointing

This is the worst! Something changed! It’s got so much powder I can hardly breathe. Please change it back. The previous one was great! Please go back to it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Controls odor better than any litter I have used. Have 2 adult cats that use 1 litter box. I clean it out 2 times a week and never have odor issues with this litter.

I have used Fresh Step for many years . What has happened to the litter ? It used to have such a great smell and odor control. The last several boxes the consistency of the litter has changed , it only smells when pouring it out of the box , and it doesn’t do much to control odors. The prices is also a bit high. I have used Fresh Step clumping & Clean Paws . The scented ones . The decrease in quality and the increase in price is not a good thing.

Wife loves it and so dose our cat Billy Bob. Light weight

Used to be five stars now that you have discontinued the best one you are a one star. Mediterranean lavender was the best! I’ve tried all the other ones and they all suck

I have ben using the charcoal activated and unscented for years. Now everything has Febreeze in it and my 15 1/2 year old cat will not use it. She doesn't like the texture change or the smell. She knows where to go because she pees right in front of the piece of furniture where the cat boxes are. She's even on medication from the vet for the problem. I'm going out of my mind.

I have 3 cats and have been using fresh Step for at least 15 years lately every time I purchase it the price has gone up to a point that I switched to another litter and it’s just as good and maybe better! Thanks for your outrageous pricing!

We have been using Fresh Step non-clumping cat litter for many years, ad have been very satisfied with it. Recently the composition has changed and our cats do not like it. We will try the non-scented to see if that is the problem, but wish you would go back to the original product.

I gave four cats and Fresh Step non-clumping is always dependable and long lasting, scented or unscented! Five stars!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Best value for the money. A lot less messy than the clumping ones.

I have 3 cats, and while I know it goes against the rules, they all share 1 litter box that I clean 1-2 times a day. It is a large litter box designed for medium/large dogs so there is plenty of room. So, normally I use Arm & Hammer Slide, because of its zero dust, and it covers up smell very very well, and clumps fairly well on dry stuff. Where it fails is urine. it absorbs it yes but then creates a stuck pile of urine that i have to scrape off and it is rank. (So much for the Slide as thats what is advertised everything should just slide out) It also sticks to the litter scooper, so another pain to clean up. It is a sand like material in size. Now lets talk about this new kind I was given "Fresh Step" Non-Clumping. I was happy to see that the Pee is actually absorbed really really well and cleanup is even easier than with the Slide, I will note with the scooper I currently have it doesn't work the best because the grains of this litter are like small rocks so they dont go through the holes of scooper very well. Easy fix get a scooper with bigger holes and that'll solve that issue. My Issues with this one is, the smell, and no, not of urine/poop, that is all covered up really nicely, it's the Febreze fragrance. I hate it, which leads to the 2nd issue the dust it kicks up is crazy, which is likely why the smell gets everywhere the cats are prolly dragging all that dust with them. Both litters have issues with tracking (they track the litter everywhere), but beyond that its fine. So I have to decide between 3 options: Arm & Hammer (clumping): + Superior Odor Control + No Lingering Fragrance + No Dust + Semi-Easy Clean-up - Poor Absorbency - Tracks Everywhere - Expensive Fresh Step (non-clumping): + Superior Odor Control + Superior Absorbency + Easy Clean-up + Less Expensive than A&H version - Extreme Lingering Fragrance - Extreme Dust - Tracks Everywhere or Some other brand???

Very rocky!! And looks very cheap , my pets paws were bleeding cause it’s so rocky !!

Is this recycled? Ugh terrible. I thought this was an anomaly, however this is the second time. What if this is harmful?
