Q: I washed the board with warm water and soap. After the wash, raised fibers appeared. Is this normal? If so, how can they be removed? Thanks.

A: Yes, that’s normal. Bamboo fibers can raise after washing. Let it dry, then lightly sand the surface and apply food-safe mineral oil to smooth it out, and it’ll look like new again!

A: Hi! This bamboo cutting board is pre-treated with a food-safe finish but is not fully sealed. Regular oiling with mineral oil is recommended for maintenance.
