Should have been packed more carefully?
It’s nice but the packaging was ripped and there is a scratch on it. It’s a gift so I wish I could exchange it but I’m disabled and everyone is too busy before Christmas to help me. Maybe after Christmas that will be possible because it was on her wishlist.

The smelliest but most durable board
when this thing gets used for the first time and gets wet it stinks like a horse barn. you can oil it to kind of knock the smell back but it'll still have a stink to it. love the board otherwise but the way my entire kitchen will smell like it is a bit much some days. the finish came off but we haven't minded it. the smell doesn't leak into your food though.

Horrible and cheap
This board suuuucks. I guess you get what you pay for. I’ve used it once with a serrated knife to cut bread and there’s literally pieces of the board coming off.

Its not solid wood!
Literally it’s a veneer on top of some other kind of wood. Don’t buy. So incredibly bizarre as it’s a cutting board- do they think we’re not going to see the material on top is a veneer?

Why sell me a food a toxic wood cutting board??
The wrapping on this product reads: “This product contains: o-Xylene” Why, Target?? “O-xylene is a petrochemical solvent used in industrial applications such as paint thinners, adhesives, and cleaning agents. It is toxic when ingested, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.” Why would Target sell a cutting board that’s contains toxic (ie, not food safe) chemicals?? I would never expect this in an acacia wood cutting board. The cutting board is beautiful, solid, and priced well. But I can’t knowingly serve my family petrochemicals in their veggies.
