    Carafe does NOT pour remotely properly regardless

    I loved my other 10 (12?) c burr-n-grind coffeemaker and liked the idea that there was a metal carafe which would keep coffee warmer in case there are others using it. But it has been massively shocking that the carafe never pours properly (the slot seems to be mysteriously blocked so that I have to remove its lid and then it does not guide the coffee properly through its mouth. That’s a huge disappointment every time I use my newer one.

    Our 2nd

    Our 1st coffee maker was completely worn out. After many years of almost every day service it was time to retire the unit. All updates made to our new coffee machine are quality improvements. Hopefully we will get many more years of great brewing from this machine.

    Grinder & Carafe are worthless, makes good coffee

    The burr grinder is a flat, not conical burr. It produces an non-uniform grind, with large and small pieces. This results in poor, weak tasting coffee. The carafe doesn't keep the coffee hot, after the first cup, and it's difficult to pour from without spilling and making a mess. The timer programming features are not intuitive, but they work well. You have the option to not use the grinder, and to fill the filter with your own ground coffee. If you grind your own coffee beans, it will make good coffee. But it's sad that the grind & brew feature is essentially unusable. And you can't return it if you've used it.

    Great grind bad program settings

    Great grind, still trying to figure it out. Called customer help line because if you put 10 cups of water in the reservoir and program it for 4 cups it’s still going to make 10 cups. Help line told me I should only put the amount of water I need for each brew. It sure why it’s has a programmable cup setting if it doesn’t work.

    Bought this grind and brew to replace a previous model. Love the functionality and ease of use much more on this model. Easy to set-up. Perfectly grinds the coffee beans for a delicious cup of coffee. The program function is a necessity.

    Very disappointed

    Thermal carafe does not keep the coffee warm (forget hot) even with warming up the carafe with hot water. Smaller volumes (4-6 cups) of coffee are barely warm. Machine cuts off when it’s done brewing so it doesn’t stand a chance of staying even warm very long. Checked to see if there is a glass carafe available for this model but no luck. Would not recommend.

    Junk. Failed after using 2 times

    Absolute junk. We brewed coffee twice and the next time the controls would not work correctly. We could not change the number of cups or we kept getting a empty error regardless of what we did. We are returning this junk and will buy a different brand.

    Great for coffee, terrible for pouring

    We acquired this model to replace a much older model from Cuisinart that had developed a leak. We like the burr grind, and the controls are much better than the older model. It did take some tweaking to get the settings to be where we liked the results. The one piece basket is OK but somewhat awkward to place in the dishwasher. The biggest complaint with this product, and the reason for my rating, is the carafe. It sprays, leaks, dribbles, etc., whenever you pour out the coffee. There is always a mess when we pour a cup. We have started to remove the lid every time we pour so we don't end up with a mess. We managed to put a man on the moon---can we design a carafe that can pour out its contents only into the intended vessel?????

    Tepid cup of coffee at best

    I have used my burr grind and brew 3 times. It just arrived two days ago. I’m beyond disappointed. If you’re looking for a piping hot cup of coffee, this isn’t going to give you one. Otherwise, I love everything about it. But for what I paid for this machine, I should have HOT coffee, not the tepid coffee it makes. I’m returning it.

    Horrible grinder

    This machine does not properly grind coffee. It only adjust for grind time. The coffee comes out to course for a proper and bold taste. Coffee comes out to light due to poor grinding

    Works well but annoying beeping

    Works well, saves time grinding coffee. Taking off 2 stars because of REALLY annoying feature - if you turn it on before emptying out the filter it will beep at you over and over, even if you turn it off, even if you unplug it and then plug it back in. This is the kind of thing that makes you want to throw a perfectly good machine straight into the trash.

    The one with the thermal carafe

    We have been using Cuisinart grind and brew coffee makers since they were a thing. We use Dunkin Donuts beans for fresh ground coffee every morning, so good. The new one we bought has the thermal carafe. Sale price made it a no brainer. Keeps coffee hot for hours. We like the bean bin on the top, no measuring them out.

    Fresh Ground Burr Brew

    This is my 2nd Burr n Grind. My original lasted 11 years so I had to get a new one. Just as amazing but more improved as this one doesn't spill out when pouring from the carafe. Hopefully I'll enjoy this one as long.
