Q: What is the thickest shelf this item can clip on to?

A: I tried to clamp it on table with 1 1/2" thickness and it just slips off. Tried adjusting clip and it can't handle anything over 1". Also apparently the LED bulb isn't replaceable !

This is a super cute, LED, clip on lamp. Puts out nice bright light, neck of lamp can be manipulated into about any position, easy to turn off and on with switch on top of lamp, and comes in several cool colors. Using it in my garage to save counter space. Great for use by variety of ages and spaces.

Clamp lamp not suitable as a clamp-on bed reading lamp.
The image shows the clamp mounted horizontally and the flexible arm starting vertical and then a bend near the top so that the lamp head points at a slight angle to vertical downward. I have not tried the lamp in that position, but I have tried it as a bed lamp with the clanp over the headboard. The flexible arm is NOT adequately strong enough to hold the head in this position. A previous Target lamp worked in this manner, but not this one.
