A: This is only the cat 6 cable. Don’t worry about doing cat ate as that is a little bit of overkill and not really required unless you are wiring a business. If you are just wiring your house, I would highly recommend cat 6a cable. It was designed as the next step up. It doubles the bandwidth to 500 MHz and adds mandatory testing for alien crosstalk, which means it’s built to resist interference from neighboring cables.
