A: You can use any brand of a carpet shampoo that you would like they only recommend you to use their brand because they can make more money off of it. They don’t want to lose their money.

A: This is 2 years late...however anyone else needs a likely correct answer. As long you wipe up what is on the surface of ruf with a damp rag so no large particles are left rug shampooed is best option

Cheapest part is a fail; works okay otherwise
Most of the machine is fine, but the little plastic piece that’s supposed to secure the cleaning head to the hose is too far recessed to do its one job. So using the cleaner means I need a death grip on the cleaning head or else it gets pulled off the hose as I move the cleaning head back. Disappointing that probably the cheapest part on the machine adds a level of difficulty to its use.

Disappointed.
Broke within a year, has been leaking for months now. When it did work it was efficient at pulling stains & spraying. However very disappointed in how long it lasted, it was only used once every few months.

Sold Used dirty item!!!!
I just purchased this item today at my local target and when i opened it immediacy could tell it was used and returned!! This was sold at normal price not a clearance sale!! The tank that holds the dirty water still has disgusting dirty muddy water and buildup it wasn’t even washed out or cleaned. Also the 2nd brush attachment and bottle of cleaning solution weren’t even in the box clearly the person who bought it kept those in addition to using it and returning it in used dirty condition. Very upset! Simply opening the box when it was returned (which had extra tape) would have immediately shown the employees at this store the condition of this item when it was returned

Suction is terrible. Used a full tank of water/cleaner, and it only sucked up maybe 1/2cm of water out of the rug and I went over and over the area. Scrub brush is too small, does nothing. Not worth the money, a waste of money.

Had my precious cleaner for many years when I mechanically broke the handle bought this one thinking it’s even better design now but sadly sprayer lasted less than a year; also noticed some corrosion of a screw under the clean water tank which is a design flaw as this area gets wet . Waste of money

it works well. make sure you don't leave it flat on the carpet while in use for a long time or else we'll overheat and cut the appliance life span to a fraction of its life. it's best to hold the vacuum part while using it or put it on something that exhausts the engine.

Very good but slight design issue.
A must have if you have pets, sooner or later they will have an accident. The only issue with this is that the blower exhausts from the bottom so if it is sitting on top of carpet it restrict the air flow somewhat. I just use my free hand to tilt it slightly.

Really wish you guys would check returned items- just bought this and it’s the “little green mini”… not the Max Pet, the one I wanted. Clearly someone returned their green mini in the Max Pet box.
