Charging port :(
The charging port is awful. I had to tape it to the laptop to make sure it would actually charge. Needed this for school and just ended up returning it. It was awful.

Don't overspending of you don't need to
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you influenster for giving me the opportunity to review this Acer Aspire 3 A315 24P R2AG 15.6 full HD IPS display laptop. I've been testing this out for 3 weeks so here is what I've found so far. First off just know you will have to set up a Microsoft account to even begin the set up process. The display is crisp and bright and colors pop. I watched a movie on a sunny day outside with no problem. The speakers however don't go very loud and the quality is average but nothing that can't be solved by connecting your own better quality speaker. I think they're what to expect given the price range of this laptop. I Don't do gaming so I have not tested that aspect. I do have a habit of keeping multiple windows open (like 20) to switch here and there and have had no lag or speed issues. Overall this laptop will suit my needs well and I regret overspending for my last laptop that was way more powerful than what I actually use a laptop for. As a user of normal day to day functions, this Acer is a great computer at a fair price.

It has beautiful display quality and is light enough to be portable in a backpack. I also love that it is touchscreen, as I have had Macs and as such, have not had this feature in a while.

BEST EVERYDAY COMPUTER ON THE MARKET

As a full time student, the acer aspire has been amazing in running everything I need. The laptop has been super fast and reliable. I was also able to run a few games on it super smooth and with amazing visuals. It is perfect for someone looking for a laptop that can adequately support all day to day tasks and activities.

Solid and affordably priced mid-range laptop for work and school
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a solid mid-market option for a 15" laptop. It doesn't have any bells and whistles and weighs about 4 pounds, but is very reasonably priced for what it offers. It has a sturdy and sleek-looking build that doesn't feel flimsy, and has a number pad that makes data entry easy. While the FHD screen resolution isn't anything to write home about, the brightness and colour balance allow the display to pop. The Ryzen 5 7520U CPU and Radeon GPU, in my experience, were sufficient for simple modelling software. 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD is also reasonable for most purposes. The battery life was solid as well, allowing me to get at least 5-6 hours when running non-intensive applications. I also really liked the built-in screenshot button, which is much more useful than the more common print screen button. Overall, I think this is a solid option if you're looking for a no-frills, large-screen workhorse for general work/school purposes.

Good basic laptop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this laptop has a SSD which is faster and has a longer lifespan than traditional hard drives. I like that there are HDMI and USB ports, a lock slot and a headphone jack but unfortunately there’s no SD card reader. I also appreciate that I can connect to Bluetooth which isn’t always an option with some of the cheaper laptops. The bottom of the laptop has four rubber feet that prevent it from sliding around. It’s firmly planted so the display avoids any noticeable wobbling even while typing. I do wish the keyboard had backlighting though. The battery life is great. You can work for hours without having to plug the charger in which is very convenient! The webcam is just 720p. Images aren’t sharp and look a bit soft and at times blurry. If you regularly do video conferences it may not be the quality you need. The fans seem to constantly be turning on even when I’m doing minor tasks like browsing the web. The fans are some of the loudest I have encountered and can make it difficult to hear clearly if you’re on a call or listening to a video. I don’t like that the speakers are underneath the laptop, it sounds muffled and echoey. Though with all of the port options you can use other external speakers or headphones. I like the anti-glare finish and the option to turn on BluelightShield to protect my eyes. The display is crisp and clear. However I feel like the brightness and color volume are lacking. I had to double check that I hadn’t turned the BluelightShield on because I felt like I couldn’t see as well as I could on my old laptop. For that reason I don’t really enjoy watching video on this laptop. I feel my old laptop which was also very basic, had a better display. It also falls short in its gaming graphics performance. The memory may be fine for general use but it’s much too low for a serious gamer or someone who needs a work laptop for more tedious tasks. It’s not ideal for gaming or video editing but does well for more basic work, social media, email, and web browsing. Overall it is a decent basic laptop with both pros and cons. My main issue being the display and very loud fan. The biggest perk being the long battery life.

I wouldn’t recommend the laptop if you’re planning to use it for gaming, video editing, or any other large project. But if you’re using the internet, storing photos, or streaming music, it’s a great and affordable option. It looks sleek and modern and isn’t too heavy to carry around. The charge seems to last a while too!

Not terrible but not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is just okay. What I like about it: 1) has a number keypad 2) the touchpad feels good and works well. I’ve dealt with other laptops where the feel of the touchpad is just icky to me 3) came with a case What I don’t like about it: 1) although I’m glad it has a number keypad, I feel the layout of the keyboard is not great. The number pad buttons seem small to me and the up and down arrows I feel are in an awkward location. 2) not a fan of the charger because it’s not USB-C and I feel it would be easy to break this charger and would lead to having to replace. 3) it’s LOUD!!! I don’t game or do much besides utilize google drive and watch youtube and yet the fans (I presume) are sooooo loud. Thus, I keep this laptop at home because I would be kinda self-conscious if it was running this loud in public. 4) don’t use this laptop much outside my home because it’s also just a big too heavy and big. I wish laptops within the 13inch range offered number keypads. 5) the hinges on the laptop do not feel great; kinda flimsy. All in all, this laptop is just ok. It would be best for an older person who doesn’t do much besides look up recipes and watch videos and likes to transport the laptop from different rooms in the house. For the price, it’s not a bad deal but I would pay more for something more updated and less noisy.

Budget friendly laptop

It is easy to set up, and the color is bright. It has a spacious keyboard that makes it nice to work with. The only downside that I can say is that the volume is not loud enough. Probably need an external speaker. This is the only reason why I gave it a 4 star. But overall, this is a good laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Acer Aspire 3 is a typical laptop for learning, communication and simple office work. A relatively fast processor is combined with rather weak graphics, so all common tasks will be performed comfortably. On the other hand, you can be sure that no one will waste their time in AAA class games. Although, of course, it won't save browser toys. Of the advantages, we should note a good and quiet cooling system that allows you to fully reveal the capabilities of the processor. The screen, although not suitable for design or photo editing, is generally quite pleasant and does not strain the eye. The colors that its matrix can reproduce, it shows very accurately. There is enough RAM and disk space here, and their speed is at the bed level. In sufficient number, there are high-speed external interfaces and a modern version of Wi-Fi. And the battery autonomy is enough for a full-time job. From what we would like, but not, you can note only the lack of keyboard backlight and fingerprint scanner. This Acer Aspire 3 model is a typical modern mid-level working machine without noticeable shortcomings.

It's a well-built laptop that features a sleek design with a spacious keyboard. The oversized track pad functions well. Has a built-in HD Webcam. The speakers are lacking a little, but with Bluetooth connectivity, you will be able to pair with whatever headphones or speakers you like. It has a nice display for the price. This laptop is lightweight. Boots up fast, has good performance, and the battery lasts all day for my needs.

Great laptop for the price!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with this laptop so far. The graphics are excellent. I love how thin and lightweight it is, so it’s great for travel or carrying around at school. It’s really made for simple web browsing or word processing, I find that after 30 minutes or so of use the laptop heats up and the fan is working hard to keep up, so it would not be great for gaming or more complex tasks. The included storage pouch is durable and handy, as it includes a pocket to store the laptop charger and mouse or other items.
