75oz Glass Storage Jar - Threshold™: Clear Glass Container with Stainless Steel Lid, Hand Wash, Food Storage

I bought one of these a while ago, probably over a year/year and a half ago and it’s been great. I’ve purchased 2 since and both will be getting returned because the lid doesn’t fit or stay on. The way the lip/threads of the glass jar are designed now results in the lid being unable to fully screw on so you can continuously twist it forever. Even if you get it to the point where it feels like it’s going to stay, you can still just pull the lid right off. And I *know* it’s the jar itself that is faulty because both lids work totally fine on the one I bought last year and the lid for that one has the same issue on both of the newer ones. What a perfect example of enshitification.

The lids are not at all secure, they come right off just with a slight pull, without unscrewing, even when fully tightened. The glass is very good quality but the lid is extremely cheap. Don’t buy, these jars will fall out of your hand very easily and shatter at the smallest pull of the lid.

The lid does seem to stay on very well even if you tightened the lid as much as possible.

This jar is made in the USA, and metal lid made in China according to sticker on bottom of jar. Lids do not thread onto jar, and no seal is possible. Could have been a great storage jar. Some sharp glass defects around rim top can cut skin and should be filed off.

worked for what I needed

I bought four and the lids barely screw on. One popped off completely even when it screwed down. I am only storing dry laundry soap, so it’s not as important to have a good seal, but I probably wouldn’t store open food in these. Packaged food, sure. Just don’t pick them up by the top.

Purchased in the store, got home and realized there was a small section of glass missing towards the bottom. The glass (at least in that spot) looks paper thin so I’m not surprised it broke. That explains why it was so cheap.

May as well not have a lid. Only kept item because giving to friend with a mouse in the pantry problem . Than goodness mice don't have opposable thumbs. They could lift their right off.

The lid doesn’t stay on with or without the little cardboard piece that is in the lid.

Why does everyone keep buying these if all of us keep telling ten them the lid doesn’t fit?? Don’t they trust others anymore who are trying to warn them? I have several of these and love the glass but hate the lid. I bought them long ago & yet the mfr does nothin lg to fix it. They won’t until people stop buying them. Bring them back, even if you washed them abd tried to use them. They are defective. & Target will take them back for that reason. They are not fit for why we buy them. Period. Driving back to return them is on you, however.

Lids do not seal tightly, or at all. They spin around and around. I bought two and can’t use either of them. I don’t know whether I can return them since I’ve washed and used them, but I’m going to try!

Lid doesn’t tighten. Idk if it’s a defect in this one or all but I’m keeping it. It’s for candy lol
