These Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty sponges are essential for my kitchen. Sponge is no good
I have used the heavy-duty sponge/scrubber for years but the last two times I’ve purchased the product I was very dissatisfied. I thought I probably got a bad batch the first time because the sponge actually started falling apart after the first use. Second time months later, same thing. I’m convinced the product has been “dumbed down” (for lack of a better word) to maintain a price point. I won’t be buying this product ever again.

Moron design
Go back to the RECTANGULAR sponges. These sponges are NOT useful when cleaning a countertop. Must press EXTRA EXTRA HARD to get the particles. The SQUARE edge of the previous RECTANGULAR sponges worked just fine. Did you ever work with a Usability Lab to determine if this was what CUSTOMERS WANTED? What were you morons thinking? Until I see them as RECTANGULAR again, I will be buying your competitor's products.

All good things (I guess...) must come to an end
It's sad to see a really great product get ruined (or shrinkflated). Both the sponge side and the rough side now only last about a quarter of the time it used to, and old sponges that I wisely (really accidentally) saved prove that. I've switched back to using those old, saved one along with some cleansing powder to get good performance for whatever life is left in them. I'll need to look elsewhere now for something capable of cleaning more than four stainless steel pans : (

Strong chemical smell, damp sponges
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use these regularly to clean our dishes, however the last package we purchased, when opened the sponges are damp and there is a strong chemical smell coming from the sponge. The package did not appear to be opened and we have never experienced this before.
