I trust this brand which is why I choose this over others. I used it once and while it did help with dandruff it burned my scalp, and continued to burn for a while after rinsing out. I thought maybe I was just sensitive to the formula so I asked my husband. But the same thing happened to him, burning afterwards.

I had confidence when choosing this product but...
I have very sensitive skin and was happy to try the CeraVe dandruff shampoo & conditioner combo. My hair looks and feels great, but now my scalp really itches after using it for 3 weeks. This is not what I expected.

Great on scalp only
I have extremely long hair down to my bottom. Not too thick not too thin. I have alopecia so I have spots here and there. I have one active spot so my dermatologist recommended a dandruff shampoo. Overall, I didn’t get a complete clean feel but that was because it’s so lightweight. Which seems to be a plus for most. Because the shampoo went all over hair it did dry my hair a bit. I completely recommend BUT only on scalp. And use another conditioner for your ends. I will continue to use but will only use on scalp. It doesn’t have a scent which is great. It’s also a good size especially if you’re only using on scalp. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars because it did dry my hair out even with conditioner. But still a good option. Perfect for sensitive scalp. I will continue to use.

Itch be gone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not a fan of two-in-one shampoo/conditioner combos. I have a lot of hair and prefer to do shampoo and conditioner separately but I think it does its job in soothing and calming the scalp. I feel it works best when you let it sit on the scalp for several minutes before washing. It makes my scalp feel very hydrated and soothed I just prefer to apply in separate steps.
