Q: Does this machine have a automatic shut off when full? Does melted water flow back in reservoir?

A: Once the water is full, the ice-making unit may automatically shut off to deactivate the ice-making function. The melted water will then drain back into the water tank.

Arrived broken
Bought mine on sale. It arrived sideways in the box with fluid spilled all in the box. We tried to make ice anyway. It didn't work. I tried to replace it but could only get a refund and was told to re-buy it. Well, it wasn't on sale anymore and they wouldn't honor the sale price because it was a third party vendor.

Not what I thought it would be
Does it work? Yes. Is it impressive? Not really. Totally my fault for perhaps not reading through the description or reviews thoroughly, but I was under the impression that this would also hold the ice that I needed, rather than having to transfer it to a container in my refrigerator. If you leave the ice, it does make in the little basket too long, it tends to start to melt and as a result, you end up with huge frozen boulders of fused ice cubes after you transfer it to your freezer and have to carefully break it up so you can use it. The basket area doesn’t seem to maintain a decent temperature for the cubes to stay while frozen until you have a chance to transfer them.
