Do not buy!!
Awful way for a big corp to monetize off of what originated from small indie bookstores. The choices are limited and not personalized, and overall just a money grab.

Needs to require and ID! Buyer beware
I have a lot to say about this item. First, why are you selling a po— book without a warning label on it. My daughter loves to read and she purchased this book, without an id, Upon opening this packaging, the book clearly says 18 and up. If she had not come to me and told me, the content would have been horrendous. Anything 18 and up should require and ID period! I will be contacting corporate.

Blind + Reading Recommended
I went to Target to really get this. I do not buy books from Target except for one time that I have to buy this to see what book I have opened and I am pleased with it. Highly recommend if you are into like blind boxes and like to read books.

My first order never arrived so they had to resend it. Not sure if they’re picking books that are top rated on Goodreads. But the choice that I got was not one that I would have picked. Plus Delray had none. Which is consistent with target not sending all their stores the product.

“Romance” used loosely… it’s a dark-smut book. You’d think it’d be something along the lines of an Indy version of Nicholas Sparks, Emily Henry, Abby Jimenez, etc with a contemporary romance / rom com type romance genre. Instead it’s a kink fest book with a long list of trigger warnings which is NOT something you should be “surprised” with. I hope Target reconsiders the type of romance books they put in surprise wrappings

The packaging is a bit misleading. You would think with "a book from a best selling author" you might get a title you'd know but I've never even heard of the book before. The pages seem mediocre, the font/printing is not good, and the book cover looks cheap. I got Burning Daylight by Emily McIntyre.

I received the book Wolf.E in my mystery “romance” package. The paper it’s wrapped in is adorable. I like the brown paper with flowers. When I saw it, I was under the impression that I was purchasing a happy romance novel. But you know what they say about when you ASSUME something. I definitely made a you know what out of myself when I gave this book as a gift to my niece. This book starts out with a full list of trigger warnings listing dark s3xual behaviors. There is nothing romantic about this book. Hey Target, great concept but you really missed the mark on this one.

I expected a romance novel, instead received what appears to be hardcore pornography with an entire page of trigger warnings, some of which are extremely dark. Target should NOT be marketing this as a romance novel - it’s legitimately disturbing. Such a disappointing outcome from a very fun idea!

Horrible disgusting book, the packaging makes it seem like you would get a cute loving romance book but we got a book with dark themes such as addiction and r*** fantasy! Just be cautious and maybe pick out a book and skip this unwrap a romance. I wish I could do 0 stars. We also got this book for our mom...

I received the book Wolfie, this book came with a page of trigger warnings. Basically it is about a man who treats women poorly, he states in the first few sentences of the book. Target this is not appropriate for this type of “suprise” book. You encourage or approve of this behavior? Will never buy a book from target. again.

didn't receive a "best seller"
while I was excited to see these in store, It states on thr packaging it includes a target best seller. I received a book I've never even heard of. I've certainly never seen the book at target. it's not a best seller at target. SMH. what a waste of money. Had potential though. (i included a picture of what I received)

Love a good unwrapping of a mysterious book. I purchased this and got a book I currently own but it’s a good book overall. I received Burning Daylight by Emily McIntire. 10/10 book selection. Would purchase again.
