A: Hi C. No, we do not recommend putting your rug in a washing machine unless the product details clearly indicate it's machine washable. For our shag rugs, we recommend spot cleaning with Resolve or other spot treatment cleaners and vacuuming regularly. Do not use the vacuums with a beater bar as this will cause damage. The rug needs to be suction-only or take it outside and shake it out. You can use a carpet cleaner, commonly known as a shampooer, but he rug should be dried immediately and evenly.

Pretty shag rug

Deep red is perfect for my kitchen.
The purpose for purchasing the red 2x8 ft runner and 2x3 ft rug were to replace ones where the white was looking tired. The pattern is diffferent from the ones shown online (which was what my original looked like. Now I need to order two more 2x3 ft to match the other new ones. DANG!

Brightened our small home office
