Cover isn't removable... For a long time, I have been using a microwave heating pad that was similar to this one, but it was getting worn out from being used a lot. This new pad is an excellent substitute. It is 17 inches by 8 inches in size, which fits my lower back pain very well. It has good stitching, and the fabric is soft and velvety. I sometimes bring it to bed with me to warm up my feet. The lavender smell is subtle and pleasant. The only thing I wish it had is a removable cover for washing purposes.

Love the fabric and the size Finally, an attractive heating pad! And I like the smaller size, perfect for smaller areas as well as for travelling. The salt in these does not seem to hold the heat as long as the buckwheat hulls in another heating pad of mine does, I got about 10 minutes of heat as opposed to 20-30 minutes that I am used to. While Id rather have 20-30 minutes of heat, the shorter heat time & smaller size would be just what I would want for a child. This has its place in my arsenal of pain relief, its just not going to be my first choice.

Super soft and relaxing This microwaveable heating pad is really soft and relaxing. It provides a nice moist heat, but doesn't get overly hot where it is uncomfortable to use. It does have a bit of a scent to it when warmed, because of the flax seeds that are in it, but it is not unpleasant. My only complaint is that I wish it held heat longer than it does, but other than that, I do really enjoy using it.

Slightly thin for full back It's not quite wide enough to cover the full back, but it is the size described and it is long enough to cover the whole back. It smelled a bit strange when I first took it out of the vacuum seal, but fabric like this often does, so I just let it air out and now it's fine.It heats up in about the expected time in my microwave (2 minutes, my microwave is 1250 watts, your time may vary) and the fabric feels really nice on my skin and feels good on sore muscles after a long day. I do worry that the fabric could stain, because it's that soft velvety fabric, but I tend to be fairly careful with my hot compresses and haven't had issues so far. The weight of it is really nice. It's like a nice mini weighted blanket, too, but you can warm it.

Maintenance No protective cover. Not washable

Heavy, moist heat. Only takes a minute in microwave to heat. This is a heavy but plush heating pad that I pop in the microwave for about a minute to a minute and a half and it provides a very nice, moist heat. It can be draped over a shoulder or just put over a sore tummy for a nice even heat that lasts for about 20 minutes or so. I have used mine about 10 times now and no loss in the time it takes to heat or the dissipation time.I like that it has some weight to it as it will not fall off easily.Not bad for the price.

helps with stress! this has a good weight to it and definitely feels good on your shoulders or around your neck. I also used it on my foot one day. It is easy to warm up and easy to clean. I do wish it stayed warm a bit longer, but overall, it works really well on your pain and stresses!

Perfect for Relaxation and Pain Relief This heating pad has become a staple in my routine for relieving muscle tension. Its moist heat feels incredibly soothing on sore areas like my shoulders and back. The segmented design ensures even heat distribution. However, the heating time could last a bit longer. Still, its a great addition to our home!

A must have for my arsenal of healing items I'm a huge fan of moist heat and this large-sized heating pad is so soothing. I have been feeling awful since the past few days with lots of full body symptoms and being able to heat this up in the microwave and get fast yet lasting relief is amazing. Having it be weighted is also very comforting. When I don't feel well, I can get overwhelmed and the combination of the weighted flaxseed and clay beads help me so much. It has a light, pleasant, and clean smell. I've had heating pads before that smelled burnt and yucky after only a few uses, but this one is consistently good smelling. It retains the heat for a long time and it's easy to position on different spots on my body and feel cozy.

Soothing Takes a little longer to heat up than smaller packs but does the job. After about 2 minutes it felt like the right balance of heat for my use case. Item has a slight smell (not unpleasant but there) out of the box, not very strong unless you give it a sniff up close.

Large, heavy non-electric heating pad, cover is not washable This large, heavy non-electric heating pad is great for soothing my sore neck and shoulders at the end of a long day. It works well centered on my spine or placed on a shoulder. The moist heat and soft fleece fabric create a wonderful comforting effect. I also like to take it to bed with me and feel the warm hug of the pad on my neck as I fall asleep. Although the fabric feels a little damp when you take it out of the microwave, it dries pretty quickly and doesn't create damp spots on my pillows. I love that this heating pad is non-electric, so I don't have to deal with cables, and I don't have to worry about using it while sleeping.Heating up this pad is a bit of a process. My microwave is pretty small, and it's a bit difficult to fit this huge pad without it scraping along the walls. I have to fold it over twice, microwave it for a couple of minutes, then refold it another way and microwave it again for another couple of minutes. Also, I wish the cover was removable. I like to use it directly on my skin, and I'm worried that it will be dirty and soaked with sweat after a while. The care instructions say "Do not wash" and "Keep dry." So how are you supposed to clean it?

Nice This heating pad works well. Heats up in the microwave easy enough. It is very heavy though, which can be good or bad, depending on your situation. It's nice.

Heat it up The size is perfect for us it holds the heat very well, and no smell when heated up.

Comfortable Heat This heating pad delivers a comfortable, slightly moist feeling heat that helps soothe muscle aches and pains. It's super soft and has a nice weight to it. Usually a minute and a half to two minutes gets it to the temperature I prefer, and it holds the heat effectively for about 15 minutes. The size, shape, and weight are absolutely perfect for use on your shoulders and neck, as it fits perfectly and stays put. It does have a very noticeable smell to it. Not necessarily a bad smell, but it's...there. I'm hoping that will dissipate over time but it's still present and is my only complaint with this product as of now.

Very nice size and convenient to use This is a very nice size to put over the shoulders. I like the outer material as it is very soft and kind of furry. The ability to keep warmth is good, it is not comparable to electric ones, but this has weight to it so it is added comfort to the shoulders if you need the weight. I really like this and would recommend.

My wife who suffers with joint problems has found this a great way of dealing with the problem. So, its perfect for her needs.

It's a Little Rougher Than Expected. This microwave heating pad is made very well and has a good weight to it. The exterior has a pretty design, but is a little rougher than expected. I wish it was a softer/plush fabric. It's big enough to cover my lower back and abdomen, which is wear I generally use my heating pads. There is a bit of an earthy scent when it is microwaved. The heating pad stayed warm for close to an hour after microwaving.The only thing I didn't like is that the cover can not be removed to place in the washer.

Excellent heating pad I love that this is not a corded heating pad. It goes in the microwave to warm it up. I put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes or so...depending on how warm I want it. It is a great size for comfort. You can lay it on your chest or your back for any discomforts. It is weighted so it feels extra snuggly. The cover is soft and cuddly feeling. THis is great to warm up and put between the sheets to warm up the bed a little on a cold night. The heating pad can easily roll up to store it away. It is made really well and does the job well. The warmth stays longer that the instructions say. I highly recommend this. I have the smaller "bed buddy" roll for the neck and this larger pad is just wonderful.
