A: Hi Lizzie, The Archer AXE5400 can work with virtually any Internet service provider - as long as your existing Internet source device (e.g., modem, ONT, gateway) is connected to the Archer AXE5400 via Ethernet cable.

Just get Netgear
Over the course of 2-3 days, unit would drop LAN and WLAN connections until hard reboot to bring them back. After the third day, the unit completely powered off and will not turn back on.

Range was poor and parental controls cost money!
I purchased this to replace a 2 year old Asus router. This router has worse range than the old one. I had many issues getting it to connect & stay connected. I work from home and would often have to switch to my phone's hotspot because this one would drop me and cycle every hour or so. Also - you have to pay for parental controls! My Asus router had them included. Overall the worst router I've ever owned.

Hello. To be clear you do not have to pay for Parental Controls. Many of the parental controls are made available for free, however, there are some enhanced features that may require a subscription to HomeShield, but basic Parental Controls are provided without subscription. Easy hook-up and good conmection
I am pleased with this connection. It’s don’t take long to get it connected. I connect my phone first to test it and all good. I then connected my TV I noticed that the channels started quicker that normal. I get delays/lag with our normal network so that’s plus. The cord is an adequate length and the size is average. One aspect I don’t particular care for is the design with the 6 antennas. I will find an inconspicuous place for it - that’s not a deal breaker.

Fast streaming, easy set-up!
The TP Link AXE5400 was super simple to set-up, as we switched from a provider modem to this product. Directions were clear and simple to understand, and we had the AXE5400 up and running in less than 15-minutes. Internet signat is quick, consistent and we were able to link our Deco devices to this router seemlessly. Even with streaming internet on 4 tablets, 2 phones and a television-- signal is always strong. I do wish the product was a little more conspicuous as far as the antennae; as there are 6. However, this router is leaps and bounds above performance of any previous weve utilized!

Great router

Awesome upgrade!
We were having issues with our older router not being able to handle the amount of devices we had going at the same time. This solved that problem! Now if the kids are playing Xbox and VR the TV still works great streaming a show. Very easy setup, there is an app (tether)you can use. One of my favorite features is parental controls, with an 8 and 12 year old in the house it is so important.

Full speed and wide range.
I love this wifi router. After installing this router i feel like my internet speed is boost up. I can watch and play my games with this fast speed internet. My device stop buffers and i can connect so many devices at the same time. Even when i am in my parking i my phone is still connected to my wife with full network and speed. It is very east to connect and install. You need a cable modem it is only a router.

Really nice router
This is a really nice router. It has a lot of different features. It was packaged very well. It came in a box in another box. That was the TP-Link box. So if you plan on buying this for someone you'd need to wrap it or keep it in another box. The wifi password is on the bottom of the router. I like that because I am forgetful but it is very long and small. I wish it would've been shorter or at least bigger print. The I.D is on the bottom with the password as well. This is a really nice router.

Great router
This router was very easy to set up out of the box with the quick start instructions. It gave a good signal throughout our 1500 sq ft house for all of our devices. The WiFi 6e makes it future proof for the newer devices that have 6e capability.

Super Easy setup
WOW! This was just what we needed. The signal on our current modem from our provider wasn’t strong enough to get out to areas on our back deck. I was able to take this out of the box, set it up, and had the signal going in 15 minutes. The instructions were super easy and now we have a much stronger signal.

Amazing
Good value router. Decent performance and features. The 6 GHz signal strength is a bit disappointing but still serviceable. 5 GHz is fine and 2.4 GHz band is good. The Tether app that works with this router is great even though some features are behind paywall. This router may not have sexy look but it's stable and good at its job.

Super Fast Router for Families
I recently upgraded to this router and I'm thoroughly impressed. Fast speed and great for gaming, and parent controls are built in! Highly recommended for families.One of my favorite aspects of this router is the new 6 GHz band, which is part of the Wi-Fi 6E standard. This extra band provides more bandwidth and lower latency, which allows me to stream and do online gaming without buffering. I've noticed a noticeable difference in the smoothness and responsiveness of my online gaming sessions.

This router is really nice. It’s very easy to set up, and it works really well. The tether app walks you through the setup process. It makes it super easy that even a person that is not tech-savvy can do it. The router works great. It’s very fast and reliable. Super happy with this router!

The TP-Link Archer AXE5400 was very easy to set up. The speed is excellent and it covers our one story 3100 sq ft house completely. We stream all of our TV and there as been no buffering while watching our shows. Highly recommend!

Gotta have fast WiFi in a house full of kids :-)
Upgraded our router to hopefully improve overall household coverage to many devices throughout the house. Seems to have improved their video game playing but might need to add the extender if trying to reach further out areas of the house. Unfortunately, ours has to be connected in the corner of the house so it has been hard to reach the opposite side well without the extender as well. 6e network seems to also improve overall use.

Vast improvement over the providers router!
Who knew that getting a good router would keep internet going consistently? I had no idea that the router from the internet company was junk and getting a good router would prevent the internet from dropping! I used to have WiFi issues multiple times a week and when working from home that’s a pain… this device has kept my internet fast and reliable since we plugged it in. I’m converted and will never use the internet providers router again.

Upgrading from the different brand router and extremely happy with the change. Need a reliable and fast internet service for work ( work from home). This router covers my 1800 sq.ft , 2 story house. Fast service from any room , outdoor back and front patios on multiple devices ( laptops, indoor and outdoor cameras, cell phones). Quick set up and compact design. Great router.
