It’s not really Moana or Maui for the songs, but it does sound like them when it’s story time. The singers are a little tone deaf, but at the end of the day, my toddler loved the story more. She can’t tell the difference except for “Shiny.” It’s very obvious that it’s not Jermaine Clement. She loves that song from the movie, but not her Toniebox.

The Rock singer sounds believable enough but when the “Moana” singer started it was clear it’s not the same girl from the movies. Also the song choices are not great - should’ve checked ahead of time!

Moana is my daughter’s favorite movie so I was pretty disappointed to find out these songs are not the actual singers. Not only are they covers, but honestly the singers are not good. They’re very pitchy and it’s painful to listen to. We honestly might just throw this one out.

It'llwork for some, not for all!
We’re going to be real the soundtrack isn’t exactly as the movie, no. Some little ones will notice, some won’t. Our little ones do not notice although they’ve watched the movie countless times. The reality of tonies is not to play a soundtrack of music for 50 minutes. The story time of it is fine too — overall our toddlers are happy and so are we.

Knockoff moana songs
My 2 year old loves the moana soundtrack. We don’t do screens so she has never seen the movie but if a moana song comes on she stops what she is doing and just listens. Unfortunately she hates this tonie. Like other reviews state the songs aren’t the original and i think it creates a cognitive dissonance and she immediately takes it off. It also starts with her least favorite song and the last song is the themesong which she hasn’t even made it to yet. Like she got down from her highchair when i wouldn’t stop it because it annoyed her so much. Sad bc i wish she could play the Moana songs she loves so much when she wants to.
