We got this for Christmas for my 1 year old- she loves placing the characters on & off & listening to the music. While I understand she needs to be a little older to fully appreciate it, I don't get why it is so expensive; I wish it did more. It plays the songs and tells the story, but for the price- I don't think it's worth it. I do have older kids who like it as well, but wait until it's on sale!

Major Quality Control Issues - Two Defective Units, Poor Customer Support
We own a Toniebox 1 that has worked reliably for our son, so we were confident purchasing a Toniebox 2 for our daughter's Christmas gift. Unfortunately, we've experienced significant issues with two separate Toniebox 2 units. First Purchase (December 7th): Disney Frozen Toniebox 2 Play Set - Unit did not function properly. Contacted Toniebox customer support but received no response. Returned to Target on December 27th. Second Purchase (December 28th): Paw Patrol Toniebox 2 Play Set - Experiences the same freezing and restarting issues. The unit plays for 10-20 minutes before freezing, then either restarts on its own or requires manual restart. This occurs with both audio content and interactive games. I'm fairly tech-savvy, so I completed all standard troubleshooting before contacting support: multiple resets, factory resets, and verification of WiFi connectivity. When I contacted customer support and clearly stated I had already completed these steps, I was still sent generic instructions to "hold both ears" or perform a factory reset - the same troubleshooting I explicitly told them I'd already done. This pattern repeated across multiple support interactions. Here's the critical problem: if this product is designed for children to use independently, having to manually restart it every 10-20 minutes makes it completely impractical. I can manage the troubleshooting, but a young child cannot. The whole appeal of the Toniebox is its child-friendly, independent operation. Two separate units purchased three weeks apart, both with identical issues, suggests a quality control problem rather than user error. Reviews on multiple retailer sites show similar freezing/restarting complaints from other Toniebox 2 customers. **Financial Investment:** - $119 for Toniebox 2 (sale price from $159.99) - Nearly $160 in Tonies figurines - Significant time spent on troubleshooting and navigating support Bottom Line: I cannot recommend the Toniebox 2 at this time. If you're considering this product, you may want to verify whether these quality issues have been resolved, or consider the Toniebox 1 instead, which has been reliable in our experience. Target's return process has been straightforward, but it's frustrating to need multiple returns for the same product due to manufacturer issues.

Tonie fatal error code within 2 weeks and less than 20 uses
This was a Christmas present for our 3 littles 5 and under. We loved this little box at first, it was great for listening during playtime. After our family nighttime reading time, we loved listening to the bedtime tonies to help wind down, whether it was the lullabies, bedtime stories, or white noise. We had purchased some of the games as well, but hadn’t had a chance to try before we got error code “fox.” Everything I’ve read online says that it’s a faulty box. Now I’m waiting on customer service to reply and I have 3 sad children at bedtime and our routine disrupted. 12 tonies and 3 games invested and waiting for a solution.

As an aunt and teacher it is so fun to see my niece listen and learn with characters that I grew up watching hung as a kid. This is just a new level of magic to help her learn. The Tonie box is always one whether we are coloring or playing. There is always music, a story or game on using the one and only Toniebox 2. All is can say is WOW I didn't think we could love tonies more! We were already obsessed with the first Tonie box, and have used it pretty much daily for the past 2 years! When the new one came out I tried to convince myself that we didn't need it...well that's a lie because we do "need" it the added features into this box are amazing! The speaker is so clear, set up was very easy, we can use our old tonies on this box too+ THE GAMES are amazing. The games add such a fun experience to the tonies box. So far we have played the Disney Quiz game and The Gabby Dollhouse game and we love them both! I love that the games make this item even more interactive for our kiddos! Worth the upgrade!
We have had a Toniebox for years now and my son likes it and my students really love it too. i had been tempted to try the Toniebox 2 and check out the games but didn’t know if my son would like the games or not. We got the Toniebox 2 and the paw patrol game. My son LOVES it. I was so impressed how he followed directions and listened intently. He did require me to sit and help him figure some stuff out but I think as he gets used to the game he will be able to do it independently. I’m so excited to check out the other games for three year olds and see how my students like it. He also really likes the button and carries it around everywhere with him which is pretty cute. I’m loving the new features like Bluetooth headphones for our upcoming flight and the increased memory. I think the sound is better from this box than our old one too. Oh and my son loves the light up ring. He gets distracted easily but the light has kept him more engaged than the old box.
