When the door is shut the bottom kind of gets stuck when you go to open it and doesn't unlatch like the top but it will definitely keep my kiddo from falling down the stairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in return for my honest review. We received the Toddleroo by North States Bright Choice Auto-Close Gate in the color white. I liked the color and the wide door, but we were unable to use it due to a design flaw. One of the pieces was too short as seen in the photos. The directions were clear, but we could not assemble. It came with all of the pieces needed and tools. It had covers (and numerous replacements) to protect the walls/paint. I wanted to like this product, but because we were unable to assemble it and use it, I rated this product poorly.

I love that it auto closes as well - it comes in handy when you are carrying things (like a child 😆). Highly recommend if you are in the market!

Installation didn’t take very long for my husband and the instructions were straight forward. It isn’t the easiest to open but it may just take some getting used to. Kids definitely won’t be getting through this thing! The gate is heavy and the weight helps it stay in place. Overall, I would recommend as a secure option for your little ones but it does take some practice to get used to the opening mechanism.

You can either let it close automatically or push it open somit stays open. It definitely keeps the kids out of where you don’t want and keep them where you do want them.

The instructions were not very clear, and it took longer than expected to figure it all out. Once it’s up though, it works great and feels secure. Just be ready for a bit of a challenge putting it together.

I love that the door opens both directions, but it does not auto shut most of the time. It also is VERY squeaky. Given all of that, it does what it’s supposed to do and keeps the dog upstairs and keeps my toddler from running down the stairs. It’s the perfect height to keep the dog from jumping over it but not too tall that it’s inconvenient.

Our last one was broken down by one of our dogs and we weren’t able to put it back up because of a missing piece. So I was glad we had been sent this one (great timing!). It was super easy to install (took just a few minutes and one person) and is a lot more durable than the last one we had. It feels very sturdy and is nice and tall. We love the easy open and the stay open features.

I have a two story home and I’m always scared my 18month old is gonna some how go downstairs, but with this gate I installed there is no way my older kids can even open it and go down. I’m really excited this one worked because I’ve tried other gates and seriously this one is the best.

We have tried many different baby gates in our past to try and fit different spaces and situations, and this one is right in line with our favorites! I love that it is sturdy and medal, always a for sure when choosing a gate for me. I also love that there is a door opening that is easy to figure out but not easy enough for toddlers to wiggle through themselves. This is certainly a gate that won’t be destroyed quickly by pets or kids!

I have 2 little children in our house and having a gait to block them from exiting our back porch is amazing! Install was very simple and the gait itself is a nice sturdy metal. I like that I can adjust this to as wide as 40” to block an entry way and keep my family safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 5 Stars – Very sturdy and reliable hallway gate We’ve been really happy with the ToddlerRoo pressure-mounted gate. It’s much sturdier than the one we replaced — our toddler can shake it without it budging. The included little hardware wrench for tightening the knobs was surprisingly handy and made installation easier. The only challenge was getting the extension pieces fully in during setup; a rubber mallet helped, but a note about that in the instructions would’ve been nice. Overall, highly recommend it for hallways or areas where you need a gate that won’t fall over, like before a set of stairs.

It is very firm and has a locking system that I think is very safe for my little girl. Above all, it is safe in the kitchen area where I needed a gate that looks elegant and, above all, practical. It is a good protection option for children and also for pets. a good option for home security.
