Q: what is the difference in size between S/M snf L/XL. I am a small woman 5'3" and 120 pounds but the S/M is quite tight. I am afraid the bigger size will be swimming on me.

A: Given your height (5'3") and weight (120 lbs), you fall right at the cusp of common sizing charts, which explains why the S/M might feel tight in the waist area. The S/M size is intended for women's pant sizes up to size 8 and men's waists up to 34 inches. The L/XL size starts at a women's size 9 and a men's 35-inch waist, fitting up to size 20 or a 47-inch waist. The jump to L/XL is quite large and the L/XL wrap would likely be too loose, as it's designed to accommodate waists starting at 35 inches. The S/M is the correct size for your general measurements, and the tightness you are experiencing may be due to body shape variation or the specific dimensions of the wrap's elastic waistband. For optimal use and to avoid burns, ensure you adjust the S/M wrap for comfort and do not over-tighten. The wrap is designed to be flexible and adapt to movement.

The reason I can only give one star is because the quality control is too poor. I opened two boxes, a total of six patches, and two of them were defective. If the black part inside is hard, then the patch can’t be used — it’s defective. If it’s soft when you open it, then it’s normal and can be used.

Wrap-around belt holds it in place! No skin adhesive!
Incredible! I've used other Thermacare products that stick to your skin (or try to stick) and they're struggle to stay in place. This produc, however, has a belt that wraps all the way around the trunk and velcros tight! Stayed in place perfectly all day and the heat lasted about 10 hrs. So impressed!

I have endometriosis, which means I have severe cramping and pain throughout the month. These work so consistently well; I’ve probably been through 50 boxes at this point! No heat
I have been buying yhese belts for decades. They used ro heat great. The new ones I bought a couple of weeks ago do not get hot. I am size 18 woman and L/XL barely fits (I used duct tape. They could make the velcro longer. Yeare ago they were piping hot. Now they are barely luke warm (they are not expired). They used to be the best product on the market. Not any longer. Capitalist greed ruins everything. They are smaller, thinner, have less heating charcoals and smaller velcro.

Not worth it.
I used these for my cramps and I don’t like them. The wrap around piece is so uncomfortable. It scrapes you. And you can’t get it tight enough to stay where you need it.

Gave my husband contact dermatitis. He followed all directions and did not wear longer than the recommended 8 hours. He has painful/itchy bumps all along the line where he wore the wrap. It might be a fluke, but we certainly will not be using them again.

I like this heating pad because with a regular one I can't be in certain positions with my lower back what I'm targeting. The only reason not 5 stars is because I feel like it wasn't super clear the measurements and even though my waist and size fits in S/M it's a bit tight so I wish it was more S/M/L sizing not S/M and M/L

Comfort for cramps
I use these when I am having cramps and they help to relax some of the pain related to that. The l/xl size are great for my lower belly area. My only gripe is that they are a bit wasteful, and there's only a few in a package which makes them a little expensive to use regularly.

Stay hot for hours
I tried to use this heat wrap once for my period cramps and it’s life changing. It’s much hotter than the Rael heating patch that I was using before and stayed hot for hours. There’s a significant price difference so I only use this on bad cramps day.
