Book Synopsis

The Trail Ahead is the second daily devotional book of Dr. Dave Smith. It has been the burden of Dr. Smith to give an aid of encouragement and help to God's people in aiding them in the daily journey through the Scriptures. As the Word of God challenges us that, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:16-17). Too many Christians have never read the Bible entirely through, and Dr. Smith has given each of us a path through the entire Bible in a one-year schedule.

Each day we will read a passage from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Dr. Smith will join us as we read the Word of God and give us a devotional thought drawn from the passages we read. Using the schedule laid out in The Trail Ahead, at the end of the year, we will have read the Old Testament once, the New Testament twice, the Psalms twice, and the Proverbs every month.
