Never Buying Again
Why is it so hard to put together, no pre drilled holes, stupid angles, instruction are the worse instructions i have ever seen. Only good things is my kids love it, but I had to so much to put it together.

Fast shipping, but look at the box!! Worried the pieces won’t all be there once I go to put it together Christmas Eve. Terrible. Probably will return it to avoid it being disappointed .

Sink lever broke immediately
The lever to the sink broke within minutes and there is no way to repair it. Building it is a little complicated but not a big deal... until you're faced with taking it apart and rebuilding a new one where the faucet lever would probably break again. Otherwise it looks like a pretty good kitchen toy for kids.

Great customer service
Just put this together last night in preparation for Christmas, Dec 21st, 2022 and it looks great! The assembly was super easy but I also used an impact drill which helped a lot. There's some spots that don't have a pre-cut hole for the screw that was handled with ease with my drill. For 2 or 3 of the spots I had to go up a notch on the drill to really get it to bite on the other end but nothing too crazy. I'm sure you can use a screwdriver but I'm a guy so....powertool it is haha I put this together in no time while watching Dave Ramsey's program and telling me why I shouldn't have bought this using my Target Red card, oh well haha Once together, we noticed that we were missing 4 of the kitchen pieces (2 butter knives, big spoon and spatula.) I called Step2's customer service number included in the box and quickly got a rep, )press 3 when the auto-recording starts when you call) The rep was very nice and quick to address my problem. She gathered my info, the product in question and got my replacement items in the cue to ship. Mistakes happen and these weren't parts that hindered me from building this so it's not a big deal. Our 2 toddlers won't even notice come Christmas morning. We have a much older Step2 kitchen that's nearly 3x smaller than this. We loved the look, the size of the kitchen and would definitely recommend this to anyone. So easy build process, time to build (less than 1 hour) and quality, all made this worth buying for Christmas.

Cute little kitchen
My 3 year daughter received this for Christmas after asking for a kitchen. I picked this one because it seemed the most realistic. The stovetop makes a sizzling noise when you set a pan on it, it has a little coffee maker with pretend pods, a fridge and a sink. The downside to this adorable kitchen is the assembly. My husband puts things together for a living and it took us probably two hours from the time we got it out of the box until it was ready to play with. The instructions say to just put slight pressure on the screws and they will go right in, but trust me, you’ll need a screwdriver.

very cute! definitely need power drill bc there's no holes for many of the screws, but it took less than an hour with that. not a lot of storage, but I already planned on getting a container for all the stuff. I bought extra food to add to the kitchen. keeps my 3 and 4 year olds occupied for quite a while. the keurig is suepr cute and comes with 3 k cups! so far we love it. no issues with doors or missing pieces for us.

Not great for parents
I don’t know why toy manufacturers insist on making their problems a headache for parents to put together. This kitchen requires several screws but of course there’s no holes for where the screws actually go. You’re supposed to apply “medium pressure” to get the screws in but medium pressure didn’t quite cut it for me. Maybe if I had an electric screwdriver it would have been easier. It took forever to put together and the instructions weren’t very clear. I’m also missing the fake phone that’s supposed to come with it.

Thank you for contacting Step2. Please note that we provide location points and not holes for screws as shown in the product instructions. The pointed metal screws provided are self-tapping and will pierce the pliable plastic and form their own threads into product. Save time up front by using the correct size screwdriver type and head size to avoid wiggly screws during assembly. Align the screw top with the screwdriver and apply direct downward pressure or force onto screw by turning slowly with screwdriver. The screw will drive into the plastic and create a hole. This would be the same or true of driving screws into a wood board such as decking or a 2 by 4 without a hole. Think about hanging a picture on the wall of your home, if you put a new nail into an existing hole it would not have a strong hold. It is much better for you to create the hole yourself, so that every item is guaranteed complete alignment for the best and strongest results. If needed or preferred, you can use a small nail with a hammer and pound a nail into plastic a bit to create a starter hole and then take out install screw. A power screwdriver or rechargeable drill can also be used to aid installing screws but be cautious as we do not always recommend as driving screws in too far with too much torque can strip out the plastic and cause other damage.
