STEM Flying Insect Zapper is a compact, portable option for attracting and zapping fruit flies, house flies and mosquitoes. Use it to control pests on camping trips, RV outings, or patio grilling sessions. It's also great for use around the house – in the garage, sunroom, or pantry. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1. CHARGE THE DEVICE USING PROVIDED USB CABLE. PLEASE USE ADAPTOR 5V, 1A.
2. PLACE DEVICE ON A FLAT SURFACE OR HANG IT BY THE HOOK.

Q: Many zappers claim to work on Fruit flies, but they don't work on the TINY ones that are 1-2mm. Will your product kill those TINY fruit flies? Glue traps and light traps seem ineffective on them.

    Its tiny, you would think for that price it would be medium sized at best, but its about 4 inches tall. I did have some success on the first day fully charged I got a couple dozen misquitos you just have to make sure and have it in complete darkness so the bugs don't go towards other lights

    Save your money

    I wanted so badly for this to work. But it’s just way overpriced and over hyped for what you actually get. I’m a petite female and the entire unit is the size of my hand. Its Tiny. Not much lighted area to actually attract insects to. It’s portable that convenient. It doesn’t stay charged for long and it takes a LONG time to recharge. After several days,it still hasn’t gotten any insects. There are better choices out there,for a better price that actually do the job.

    I was gonna read it one star first when I was thinking of returning it, but now I realized that it does last charging if you leave it charged long enough for the battery to be full. There was so many negative comments about the battery dying fast, which was my concern, but then I realize that if you leave it charged long enough, it will stay. And it has quite a a bit of flies. Pictures of tax shown there is flies inside and flying in insects

    Waste of money

    After about a month, it stopped charging.. and when it did work, it only worked for maybe six hours. Waste of money!

    STEM Failure For Me

    I tried the STEM Bug Zapper Outdoor Bug Killer and it didn't work for me. I killed more flies with a fly swatter. Not impressed at all. $20 bucks for this? Don't waste your money.

    Saving my sanity one fly at a time!

    We for some reason have a massive issue with fruit/drain flies(old apartment, gross pipes, you get the idea). This little device has been awesome thus far and it’s been less than 24hrs, I’ve already had to take it outside and clean it once because it was so full already! While the brush provided is helpful cleaning it can be tedious. It also does not seem as powerful as I had hoped so it may take once or twice more of the flies going back before it actually gets them but it seems to draw them back no issue. It does also seem to emit a small noise(think electric lighters) it’s not nearly as bad as I was afraid of, and very mellow light as well. Not blinding so you can keep it near you and sleep okay but that also means it’s not as powerful during daylight. The only reason I removed a star is because it does seem like the battery life isn’t as long as I’d hoped and it doesn’t work as well during the day but other than that, love it!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mini machine is lightweight and easy to assemble. I tested out during tailgate season and it works very well. I was a bit concerned about cleaning it, but so far I have been able to just wipe and knock it in the side of the trash can and that works for me. It’s simple to charge. It works inside as well. Especially if you keep fresh fruit out year around.
