Q: WHAT DOSE "NOISE LEVEL" MEAN ?
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about SteelSeries Alias Microphone: USB-C Condenser with Cardioid Polar Pattern The noise level refers to the microphone's Maximum Sound Pressure Level (Max SPL) capacity. Max SPL is the maximum loudness of sound that the microphone's capsule and internal electronics can handle before the audio signal begins to distort or "clip". A high Max SPL rating such as this has is a good thing. It means you can confidently record very loud sound sources (like yelling, shouting, or close-miked musical instruments) without worrying about damaging the microphone or getting distorted audio in your stream or recording. For a typical gaming or streaming microphone used near a person's mouth, the 120dB this microphone has is more than sufficient, as a human voice rarely exceeds 100 dB even when shouting loudly. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.
