A: yep! They are very high quality and if you would like to go for a cheaper alternative there are other variations but the brand is not Stanley but as a Stanley owner myself, I can prove that they WORK

A: If you can't afford $45 for a cup, move along. It's not that much for the quality you get. There are cheaper versions that don't hold up nearly as well.

A: I lost mine with ice in it for a week and found it one week later and the ice was STILL there. so 45 for that insulation isn't that bad

The basic colors will do but means my money waited til I found one that said it was meeeee like I got the OR purple one that is rare I was picked to buy and the white colorblock one from dicks and the swirly one that looked like lover album and then got my fiancé into them and got the neon yellow for him and ALL I spent hours off and on locating matching boots and straw toppers off amazon. A: Sure is! People paid that for Yetis just a few years ago. These have been around for ages. This is not new. The colors are new. The company went from 75 million to 750 million. Genius marketing!

A: It may seem like a really bad price for a water bottle but they are very durable, I've dropped mine several times and it is still in brand new condition and it is a big water bottle and very nice.

A: Dude I have 25 dollar water bottle from Amazon and it keeps ice for a week and is a lot bigger plus it’s lead free and doesn’t leak and has multiple attachments that’s lasted me for years around 6 ish

A: I gifted a 30oz ice flow Stanley to my daughter when she started college. It is with her 24/7; school, work, home, car it's there. I think she literally cried the first time she dented and I know she did when she left it in her lab and was convinced someone would take it before she could get back to it (her professor set it aside for her). She and her Stanley have just started their sophomore year and still going strong. To me, it was worth the money to know she's always hydrated walking the CofC campus and she treasures a simple water bottle, probably in part because she knows the cost. It was money well spent for me.

I’m thinking not because honestly, Stanley 1913 has been around forever and I still remember my mom had a thermos she took to work almost every single day and I think she still has it. Honestly they are worth every single penny! They are beautiful and they really do keep your drinks cold and your ice in tact. I have had brain freeze in the hot summer weather and my ice don’t melt for days! Im just sad I missed the Sour Grape as I want one so badly and the Popsicle Pink too! Id love to be able to have one! When you’re buying a Stanley 1913 you’re buying an investment because they’ve sold on other sites for 3-4 times as much. I think that is what the highway robbery is shameful about but they are definitely worth it. Im just hoping and praying I’ll get a Sour Grape and a Popsicle Pink! Seriously try one and then you’ll see what all of us go crazy about them. I will say with the economy like it is, I can understand how you feel. But as I said earlier, it’s an investment with a company thats been around since 1913 and they have a lifetime warranty. I hope you’ll at least try one. You deserve it!

A: The 30 oz is better for a younger kid it’s smaller and I would highly recommend the flip top Stanley because she will spill it everywhere all the time or you could get things on Amazon to stop the bottle from leaking

A: Run up to either a Dick's Sporting Goods or a Target and compare the 2 styles you are looking at and the difference yourself. My husband has both sizes and he uses each one for different events he does, so I'm no help or I am with telling you it's really a personal preference.

A: A 30 oz Stanley is significantly smaller. If you fill both up and compare them, the 30 oz is also lighter. I would recommend a 30 oz since she might not even drink all of that water, and it'll be easier to carry.

A: these have the built in stopper for liquid around the straw but if held upside down will leak from out of the straw area

A: If they stay straight up they do not leak. However that is not the biggest issue with these, it’s that they get dented

A: If you turn them to the side or upside down - yes, they will obviously leak due to the straw opening (you can buy specific silicone rings to solve this issue). Otherwise, no, they do not leak

A: These vessels are NOT spill-proof. They have an opening to use a straw or just drink out of the opening (sans straw). They are meant to be kept upright. They will leak otherwise. Hope this helps.

A: Ok , someone asked for another to please reply . I have 2, 40 ounce Stanley’s . One was a gift to me and the other I bought . Do they leak you ask ? If held upside down deliberately while using the straw option small drips could occur but using the Stanley normal like NO it doesn’t leak even while filled with carbonated waters . You can use it without the straw as a drink cup - no drips or leaks here from mine . I also have the Stanley flip top (spout) and no leaks . My Stanley’s go outside with me to the garden and the pool area sit in blazing sun with iced drinks inside the cup and remain super cold till the drink inside is gone and ice still remains inside ! Pricey ? Yes . Sometimes they are on sale - past colors etc. the decision to spend so much is yours to do or not to do but is it worth it ? To me , yes . The quality is there for sure . Hope this answers your questions. These make great gifts for graduation , teen and adult birthdays . To spend 45.00 for a graduation gift which will be loved is actually a bargain in today’s overpriced world . This answer is only my personal opinion I am not a sponsor or a paid reviewer.

A: All the time. Lids on the top cups on the bottom. Straws are washed by hand.

A: If you tighten the lid too much it can be tricky to open. I’ve had this problem, so I make sure my lid is tight enough to not leak but not so tight I can’t open it.

A: Has to do with the outside temperature. I would put it in the freezer for 15 mins and that will help. Also don’t hold the handle while opening it. It can cause the handle to break off. Hold the bottom and the lid.

A: Yes, but only if I tighten it too much. I tighten it just enough to where it won't leak, and is still easy to get the lid off. I have found that when using any water bottle, if you tighten it too much, using a paper towel to help open it does the trick most of the time.

A: I've never washed any metal water bottles in the dishwasher. I recommend handwashing it. It might take extra time but it will keep the tumbler in peak condition.
