We don't use SLS or SLES in our shampoos, which are the harsh sulfates people typically see in shampoos that are harsh cleansers on the hair and strip colour treated hair. - Does what it needs to, but it makes my scalp a little more itchy compared to a previous brand of tea tree oil shampoo I've used that barely makes me itchy. - When I brush before blowdrying, it makes me shed a lot of hair. - Leaves a waxy coating on my hair and on my brush after blowdrying. Please be cautious about buying this one! I understand that everyone's hair and scalp react differently to different products, but still, think before you buy!

Causes Dandruff
I wanted to love this, however it has caused me to have dandruff and it's the only thing I was using differently. And I saw someone else mention this also happened to them, so I am only writing this because it also happened to me as well. I love the smell and the lather and how it makes my hair feel, but my scalp hates this stuff. Now I have to go back to real dandruff shampoo and see if that helps again. So over it.

Hair Loss
this product has caused severe hair loss to my thick hair!! I wouldn't recommend this product at all. I've never had fine hair in my life, but now with all the hair that falls out each day I feel the difference and know it will take years to restore back to normal. DO NOT BUY!

I love the smell and it’s helping with the health of my scalp. I was expecting more of a tingly sensation but there really isn’t one (isn’t a big deal to me). It’s a little drying so i do use another shampoo afterwards. (I have relaxed 3C hair)

I'm super impressed by how well this shampoo works to deliver on it's promises to help cleanse, soothe, and balance. It took a bit of effort to get a good lather and your hair does feel a little weird when rinsing, but following up with conditioner is always a must for me anyway. The end result is that after just one use my hair was noticeable softer, felt more lightweight, smoother, and looks healthier overall. It's been a long time since my hair has felt and looked this healthy. I'm defintiely sold on this shampoo and I look forward to trying more soapbox products in the future.

Good shampoo for scalp balancing, really helped my scalp be less itchy. But… it is sooo hard to wash out and if you don’t use a ton of conditioner with it it makes your hair feel kind of gross and dry. Definitely recommend for scalp benefits but you will need to be sure to rinse well and change your conditioning routine.

Soapbox for helping Psoriasis
I have brown hair to the middle of my back it's always healthy and shiny. I have been recently been diagnosed with Lupus and my hair has completely changed for the worst. Lupus can bring on Psoriasis it's on my scalp the itch is relentless. I can't use any of my old shampoo it makes it worse. My hair is now dry, brittle and falling out. So I have been looking at products I could use that would help. I was at Target, good selection and I read the ingredients on the back of Soapbox funny name that caught my eye. I liked the tree oli mint. My 1st try was great my hair is soft, shiny feels great. Soapbox has helped with the itch but not a cure, I don't go around scratching or feeling the burn on my head all day. I would highly recommend. Thanks so much Soapbox for all the natural ingredients.

Helped my dry scalp
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a very dry scalp, especially in winter. I have found this shampoo (paired with the conditioner) has really help keep my scalp from flaking. I do not experience the "tingling sensation" when washing my hair. There is a light tea tree scent, but it's not strong.
