A: Cradle cap isn't exema or psoriasis. So this is too strong for baby's hair. You would be best to rub baby oil in the cradle cap. Let it sit and when softened, gently take baby's comb and lightly run along scalp and the cradle cap will lift off in pieces. You may need to add more baby oil. Caution it doesn't run. And dont use too much as you do need to wash it out. It is a chore to keep up with. But, I survived 3 kids. :) this is the best way

Cleared up flaky scalp
This shampoo has helped with my daughters oily flaky scalp! I wish it came in a bigger bottle because it does take a lot for my daughter’s long hair! The consistency is good and it does not have a strong smell.

Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo has been great for my flaky, itchy scalp. The 3% salicylic acid really helps break up buildup and reduce flakes — I noticed a difference after a few uses. It’s clear and fragrance-free, which is nice for sensitive skin, though it has a mild medicinal scent. I let it sit a couple minutes before rinsing for best results. Because it’s more of a treatment shampoo, I don’t use it every day — just a few times a week — and follow with a conditioner so my hair doesn’t feel dry. Overall, it’s helped calm my scalp and control flaking better than other dandruff shampoos I’ve tried.

This shampoo left my hair soooo soft, not greasy, or dry like other shampoos do. I don’t think I will use daily but definitely once a week in my hair routine. Im noticing less flakes after one use, but still have some. Hopefully they decrease more after continued use. Definitely recommend if you are battling dandruff. One downside it the bottle is extremely small for the price. Which makes me think you probably aren’t supposed to use this for everyday use.

I’m writing this in case it helps someone else who feels embarrassed or stuck like I did. For months, my scalp developed a strong, unpleasant odor that would come back the same day I washed my hair. I was showering properly and drying my hair, but by the end of the day the smell was noticeable and made me extremely self-conscious. I tried multiple products — Nizoral, Head & Shoulders, clarifying shampoos, ACV shampoo — nothing worked. After just one use of T/Sal, the odor was significantly reduced. It wasn’t instantly perfect, but it was the first time I felt real relief and hope. The smell was no longer overwhelming, and I could go about my day without constantly worrying. I did notice some itching, but for me that was manageable and worth it compared to the odor issue. This shampoo seems to work by addressing buildup and trapped oil, not just dandruff. If you’re dealing with unexplained scalp odor and feel like you’ve tried everything, this may be worth a try. I’m genuinely grateful I found it. Unlike some commenters, I did not think the smell of the shampoo was bad at all, mine is unscented.

Controls Scalp Build Up
I use this when my scalp starts feeling itchy with a build up of products. It starts working the first use. It clears away flakes and build up. It gets rid of any dandruff and itchiness I have. It has 3% salicylic acid to exfoliate and clean away excess products. I like it because it doesn’t dry out my hair. After using it continues to work preventing more build up.

Greasy hair, no more!
I just purchased my second bottle of this. It was recommended by my hair dresser. I deal with dry hair, but it is SO quick to get greasy. Within hours it seems I already feel like it needs to be washed. This shampoo has changed my hair! It feels so much more clear and lightweight.

I think this shampoo was awful. It made my hair feel extremely heavy and extremely oily feeling right after blow drying it. I’m sure that it’s something in here that is common but my hair does not feel clean and I can’t even run my fingers through my hair. It is actually pretty disgusting.

The scent is very clinical and not pleasant at all. While it gets the job done, the price feels a bit high for what you get. The packaging is simple and functional. What's most important to know? It helps with scalp buildup but has a strong medicinal smell and doesn't feel luxurious to use.

I will be crushed if this is discontinued. It makes me hair so soft and helps remove dandeuff without causing firther irritation from fragrance. Its hard to find dandruff shampoo that doesnt dry put my hair or have FRAGRANCES that IRRITATE my slin. This stuff has been a game changer

The scent is lighter and more pleasant compared to T/Gel, and it fades after rinsing. and the formula spreads easily without too much foam. I love this product don't get me wrong works well but I really really love the extra strength. I can't find it no where anymore. My daughter has really bad build up and with the extra strength with one or two washes I wouldn't have to use it for months. With the regular I have to use for every wash still works well but I really miss the extra strength.

It MELTED my hair off halfway down the strands!
I followed the directions, did 2 washes & rinses, saw lots of hair in the sink but thought it was shedding. a lot of My hair is gone from ear level down, though my hair is actually down past my shoulders. How could this happen?! So upset! (My hair is not processed at all, not dyed or colored.) I look like a man now!
