Q: Is the center magnetic or metal? I’m wanting to mount an iPad Mini to a magnetic mount that’s less than 1 inch in diameter in my car. Thx!
A: No, the center is not magnetically strong enough to mount to. The outer ring has very strong magnets to mount to Magsafe/Qi2/steel, but the center is mostly plastic w/ small magnets to close the cap.

Snap 4 Luxe Magnetic Phone Grip utilizes a combination of magnetic attachment and adhesive, depending on the situation: MagSafe Compatibility: It is designed to be MagSafe compatible, meaning it can magnetically attach to iPhones with MagSafe capabilities or MagSafe compatible cases. Adhesive Assistance: It also utilizes a "nano-adhesive assisted" system. This means that while it is magnetic, it can also use adhesive to provide a more secure hold. This is especially useful for: Phones or cases that are not MagSafe compatible. Q: Can this be used without any adhesive on an iPhone with a MagSafe case on?
