fine, flimsy tho
it’s hard to get it the correct angle - i need both hands to un-stick the moveable part and then find the proper way to get my two fingers under. the old style round ones are much easier to deal with even if they’re annoying and thicker and don’t come off to reposition

Love it!
I love the grip and the car mount. Never take it off my phone or out of my car. My only small complaint is the Android adapter that came with the magsafe isn't really strong enough I had to go buy my own. If I put my phone on something magnetic it just slides down or with the car adapter you hit a big bump and it falls off but with the self-bot adapter it works perfect love it.

Not as good as the 4
I *loved* the snap grip 4. I came online to order more adhesive as the reuseable ring of adhesive on mine finally died after years of use and case swaps. I thought I'd try the new model, and I hate it. The ring doesn't stay attached. Even just trying to click the stand in place causes the ring to slide and break the magnetic hold. The ring gets knocked off in my purse, or the phone slides off the grip slowly when mounted to a stand or magnetic surface. Twice now the phone has completely slid off the grip and fallen. I can't trust the grip. Luckily, I was able to order one last refill pack of the adhesive assist for my 4, so I will go back to using that one. Hopefullywhen that runs out the design issues for the new model will be solved. Until then, I don't recommend this product.

Broke after one day
Don’t bother. Flimsy. Used it for one day and it lost the ability to close back down again. Have to rotate it constantly to get the right angle for my fingers to hold it.

I’ve had this thing like 6 hours and it’s already broken
I got this in the mail today and I’ve had it maybe 6 hours and it already isn’t snapping closed and I can already see visible wear and tear on the plastic from opening closing. 0/10 recommend. Waste of money. I should have stuck with pop socket.

Not natural and magnet not as strong as advertised
I was disappointed in this. I bought for my phone and wanted to get this instead of a pop socket. I was lured in by the super strong magnet in addition to sleek design. It is almost too sleep. When opened it doesn’t feel natural. The magnet holds to the phone great but not to other objects as advertised. The kickstand feature could not hold up my phone. I tried to give to my mother but she did not like either.

BOMB GRIP
Takes a little time to get used to using it at first. But it is so worth it. The compatibility and the ease of use and being able to have such a magnetic grip to put on your microwave or your fridge or anywhere metal so you can just watch something without destroying your cervical spine and use it for cooking looking at recipes and much more and even for Mounting on their car grip or any other magnetic car grip it is by far the best phone accessory I have ever bought... it’s also extremely beautiful and matches any theme that you have on your phone... bravo guys

Needs adhesive
Finger grip works and looks good, but it comes off my DBrand magnetic case very easily. Please send me one with adhesive

Great!
Slim, strong and still allows for passthrough charging with my magnetic chargers. It can take some time to get used to and not as easy to use as my loop ring I prefer with my zflip, but a great alternative since I can't find a mag case that allows charging and has a loop ring.

Not Worth the Hype
Overall, I give this 2 stars. Those two are for the strength of the magnet and overall depth of the grip. Knocked off stars because 1) it's functionality as a stand is minimal; 2) the mechanism for expanding/contracting the grip has no memory (despite what they say) - every other use and the thing gets all out of whack and 3) it's not a comfortable grip. I am contemplating a return.

Looks nice, works ok
I had the original ohsnap and it worked great and the magnet stuck to everything (gym equipment and any other vertical surface). This one looks great, but the actual grip feels like it takes 2 hands to open, and the magnet just slides everywhere. It even got a few scratches because of that within the first few days. It’s ok, but overall I like the older one better

No Charge-Thru
I’ve been an Ohsnap fan for a long time. Love the style, the profile and the dependability of the grip. Hands-down, my favorite grip I’ve ever used, but the newest Grip-5 got rid of the charge-thru. Now I have to remove the grip to charge. It’s a bit unfortunate that this change wasn’t described in the marketing. I have my Grip 4 that’s still functional, I just upgraded my phone and wanted to upgrade my grip as well. Looks like I’ll be keeping my Grip 4 on instead.

New one isn’t as strong as the one I purchased last year
Just purchased a replacement for my grip I got in May of 2025. My old one still worked great but was super scratched and just didn’t look nice anymore. Don’t get me wrong I loved it which is why I purchased a replacement in green. Unfortunately I’m noticing my new one isn’t as strong. On certain things I used to always stick my phone to (fridge, washing machine, gym equipment, etc) it starts sliding down and will fall off. The only physical difference I noticed with the grip is it doesn’t have the adhesive like the last one which I don’t mind as it made the old one hard to take off and it doesn’t seem to have effected the connection to my phone. I’ll see how this works over time but I might just switch back to my old one and try to paint it if i get annoyed by this one.

MAGNET NOT ATRING ENOUGH
It got missing two days after I got it. Just not good and not as practical as they market it.
