Smood Sweets Sweet Berry Fish Candy Dates - 3oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to give these a try because I've always been a big fan of dates. These did not disappoint. I also appreciate that there is no added sugar. The sugar in these only comes from the dates. They are the perfect healthy snack for when you're craving something sweet but don't want any added sugar. Looking forward to trying their other flavors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were interesting, they were much bigger than I was expecting them to be but the texture was as expected . Crunchy outside and chewy inside, maybe too chewy as it was hard to bite in half. The taste was overall good and the package is 3 servings though it could easily be eaten in one sitting. The smell was very sweet and strong once opened and the bag is resealable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the Smood Sweets sweet berry fish candy dates. I did not like this flavor, it tasted slightly chemical and fake to me. These candy coated dates also come in several other flavors that my kids and I love, just not this flavor. These are really large dates with a candy coating. They are great for lunches or a quick snack. The dates are soft and chewy, really good, just didn’t care for the candy coating or this flavor.

They are ok, kinda like why didn’t I just buy a bag of real dates?

But this Sweet Berry Fish flavor matches way better with a date than the sour flavor. I don’t think these taste like a Swedish fish candy. This candy date has a crunchy coating over the dated. These were unique enough for me to want to try them, but I would not buy again.

It is incredibly sweet and tangy. It's not a bad smell; it's just overwhelming. For something free of artificial dyes, the color is really vibrant. The good things stop here. I took a bite into it, and the crunchy outside and chewy inside is a horrible juxtaposition. The textures do not mesh well at all. The flavor is so odd. It is not swedish fish, and it's not dates. It's just bad. Would not recommend.

These did not taste like Swedish fish and we're very unique in flavor. They do have a crunchy outside candy coating, and the inside was a date, but the flavors were not a good combination . I would not recommend Or pick them up again

They aren’t pretty and when you bite into it, it’s also not pretty.. LOL. HOWEVER, the flavor and the texture are both really good. It’s a crunchy outside and then the softer chewy inside. They are super sweet so it would definitely satisfy a sugar craving and be a healthy option!

I love that there are no added sweeteners or artificial flavors and colors. They do really taste like sour watermelon candies. We tried this flavor and the sweet berry fish flavored ones and we all preferred this flavor. I will definitely buy more flavors yo try!

I couldn't even finish one. Weird texture and doesn't even taste like you're eating something that's supposed to be edible.

The package came with 11 pieces inside which I thought was too little amount, but the product itself was physically big so I dont think you can eat more than a few at a time. Not something I’ll be diving back into but a good sweet bite when in the mood.

The date has a really nice sweet flavor. The crunchy outer shell tastes like Swedish Fish. The two together are a great pairing! I am going on a road trip next week and plan to take these with me as a quick sweet treat!

The dates are so soft inside and the crunchy outside isn’t too thick as you can see. It’s just enough to give a crunchy texture outside of the date. The dates are pretty big in size and there’s an ample amount in the bag. The flavor absolutely tastes like berry on the outside and is delicious. For a no-sugar added treat this is amazing. Definitely worth trying if you haven’t already.

The fact that they're pre-pitted is a huge plus for easy snacking. My main issue was the "candy coating" taste. While others might find it authentic, I found the flavoring to have an artificial or slightly chemical aftertaste that I just couldn't get past. It didn't quite capture that unique Swedish Berry flavor I remember; instead, it sort of overpowered the natural date flavor in a way that wasn't pleasant for my palate.

You do get a slight Swedish fish flavor, but if I didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like, I would not know what they were. They are also advertised as being pitted, and the second one I bit into had a whole pit still inside.

Offensively terrible texture. Not sure what I was expecting, but this neither feels like crunchy candy, nor chewy date. It’s a horrific combination of discolored, not-quite-crunchy candy covering a pocket of melted vitamin gummies. Just buy the sugary candy you were looking at instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was curious about these candy coated dates because they seem like a great idea for a high fiber nutritious candy alternative. I like them ok but I was expecting something sweeter on the outside and more chewy and gummy like than the hard candy coating. It tastes a bit crunchy, chalky, and more sour than I expected. I think the candy and date flavors and textures are both tasty but they don’t pair well. It’s a great idea but I hope Smood Sweets goes back to the drawing board and tries something else because this is the near enemy of what truly satisfies my sweet tooth.
