Great first impression
I’ve used my OpenSwim twice now and it’s working great. The controls are easy to navigate, it was easy to transfer mp3 files from my computer to the device, and there were no glitches during more than 2 hours of swimming. The sound quality under the water is fine. It’s not as clear as it is out of the water of course but it was as good as I could expect (note: I did wear ear plugs as suggested) The device itself fit very well. I probably did over 200 flip turns and never had any slippage. I hope i get a couple of years out of the device. I plan to swim with it once or twice a week. Fingers crossed. But as far as first impressions are concerned, I’m giving it 5 stars.

I can't express how good they are
The sound quality is very clear, even if you turn up the volume it does not hurt the ears but it preserves the sound of the music above the outside, in the water with the earplugs that are included it is even better and I like that you can configure them depending on whether you listen to music or podcast, they will definitely help me with my training for my first full Ironman and my first half Oceanman

My 3rd pair
One broke (piece inside got detached and rattled) so I replaced it. Use it both inside and outside water.

I knew, but I didn’t know.
I had a feeling after trying these on at an airport electronics store that they’d be good for around the house kind of stuff and walking/hiking. I finally got back in the pool today and my MIND IS BLOWN. I didn’t know what I thought this experience would be like. Now I know- crystal clear sound while pushing through the distance and they sound even BETTER underwater. I’ve swam in so many training pools where they pump music underwater and I’m hoping that I don’t have to listen to someone else’s playlist again. These are far superior to anything I’ve experienced before. I can’t wait to get back in the pool after building a pacing playlist. I shaved a full two minutes off my mile this morning just from having Deadmau5 pump through my literal bones!

Unexpected MP3 Player Utility
I did not expect a built in MP3 player and file storage for the Open Swim. (Probably should have checked the specs first, oops -- it's a good thing overall though). Lots of good designs in regards to the utility such as the ability to sort folders and cycle through them. Connection to the mobile app allows for a bit more utility such as track selection (no seeking or picking specific parts of the song though) In regards to comfort, the Open Fit is considerably better. Unfortunately, the Open Fit is incompatible with usage in environments with considerable water -- water getting into the speaker area means muffled sound. I picked up the Open Swim for use in the shower to mitigate the sound issue. Workable, but finicky to work around when wearing it and washing hair as the band in the back gets in the way . . . I need to get back to sorting through my music for the Open Swim. The pains of having choices and options. . . LOL.

Love these, just please make a mini!!
I love these!! Sound quality is excellent, and I really love having music in all conditions, even the pool! They are perfect except for the size- my head is small and I would really love to get this in a "mini" like the OpenRun. Please just shorten the band - it's the only flaw!!

Openswim Pro
I use these for swimming laps and they work great. The controls are very simple and easy to use even when flip turning. They do make my ears a little sore underneath a swim cap, but that quickly goes away after finishing my workout. Highly recommend if you do long distance swim workouts and leading songs onto the headphones is super easy. Sound quality is good underwater.

Great battery life Sounds great
Great battery life Sounds great most of the time, but having drop offs/stuttering after a long run. I suspect it might be trying to connect to another device as it's always in the same area. Turning off headset and back on fixes it so seems like it's the device, not my watch (Garmin). Just a pain to do that while running.

mp3 capabilities lacking
need to at least add a shuffle function to mp3 playing independent of phone app (pushing a quick button on the shokz triggering the shuffle)

My husband swims for an hour or so a few times a week. He loves them for listening to podcasts and music during that time. Highly recommend!

Wow, but not the way I expected
Unfortunately I had surgery the day these headphones arrived, so I have not been able to use them exercising. To me they are not as comfortable as I keep reading. They are super light, but after a couple hours of listening the slight pressure before your ears is more noticeable (not bad but noticeable). The sound is incredible unless your ears pickup other sounds. Then you have two dueling sources of sound. The headphone usually lose. I won't wear these to the gym as they play muzak there and I don't want to hear both. I understand why they give ear plugs for swimming and I'll update this as soon as I can get in the pool. I love these so far, but they definitely have their uses and non-uses. Running my less travel roads will be great, Not sure about biking busier roads (although I usually have no music there) I'll let you know.

Open Swim Pro
This is my 3rd Shokz product in 5 or 6 years. The 1st we believe was damaged by exposure to moisture (being worn while working in a stone fabrication facility). 11/2 ago purchased a different Shokz with a mic due to truck driving needs, lost it in October on motorcycle trip, was very pleased with it! Since the wife purchased this new one the Open Swim Pro, she thought the waterproofness to be smart for me. To the review, not as pleased with the sound volume of this unit as the other products.

happy with them
Haven't used them long, but I'm very impressed. They work well while swimming which is what I bought them for. I'd worried they wouldn't stay on or that it would be hard to hear, but following the instructions, everything worked seamlessly. I'm still not quite used to the controls, but they work well and I'm getting the hang of them.
