Horrible product, broke within 2 weeks
I bought this umbrella at Target less than a month ago, and, of course, one of the hooks snapped off. Upon trying to reattach the hook and fix my umbrella, it warps completely, making the thing essentially useless, with about a third of the umbrella drooping down when opened. Not to mention the bent metal hook, which, knowing the quality, is bound to snap any second and hit me in the face. Save yourself the trouble and find a better quality umbrella, unless you want to be buying one of these every two weeks. The only thing I'm grateful for is the fancy tag in the corner that told me exactly which company took my money and ran.

Second Umbrella From This Brand That Broke
Very disappointed with this umbrella. I’ve only used the ShedRain Vortex about four times, and not even in heavy rain, and the open/close feature already stopped working. The umbrella completely broke. This is actually the second umbrella I’ve purchased from this brand, and unfortunately the quality has been poor both times. The durability is nowhere near what they advertise. I do have a warranty, but honestly it doesn’t even feel worth the trouble to repair. I won’t be purchasing from this brand again.

Awesome compact umbrella
I love this umbrella! I got 2 back in Nov 2024 and it still works. It does have some mild rust but that’s due to the rain. It doesn’t work well in windy rain but it’s pretty good! I do wish the handle was a little bit bigger but is good! Going to buy a couple more to have on hand.

not sure what everyone else is saying about it being a bad umbrella but I loove it! Shedrain can hold up. It’s extremely sturdy compared to other numerous “compact” umbrellas. I haven’t found any other brand that does compact umbrellas as good as shedrain. In all honesty, if compact shedrain doesn’t work for you then you need to stick to using the longer umbrellas that have a sturdier base instead of a compact one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this.

Immediately Broken
This umbrella broke within 5 minutes of me leaving the Target store. The umbrella frame easily snapped and the material is flimsy. It was raining, so I popped into Target out of convenience. I should have crumpled up $20 and thrown it in the trash. What a waste of my money. Magically the self-checkout kiosk didn’t scan my circle barcode as the screen said, so now I have no record of this purchase to return. I’m so upset and disappointed in the quality of this item.

Sturdy yet compact
This is a fantastic compact umbrella that I keep in my work bag. They stay behind their product with a lifetime guarantee which made me more comfortable than it wouldn’t break. So far the auto open and close works very easily. Once you use the button to bring it to a close you have to pop it into the handle in order to fully secure it. I have a black one in the color has not faded. It’s very lightweight and I appreciate the ease of opening & closing it.
