Q: HI - I know the glass basket is made of Borosilicate, just wonder what the rest of internal parts are made of that would have contact with food or fumes that would get to food and the griddle?

  • A: Salton's 3 in 1 Grill model AF2090 wire rack is made with carbon steel. The non-stick rack and grill surface use ceramic non-stick.

Q: would like to know if this product contains any warnings on the box, such as BPA, etc. The box usually says it causes cancer and reproductive damage. Does this product have them?

Great reliable air fryer!

The air fryer with a glass bin !! No more tasting and smelling plastic. It's a very heavy glass, so for those that are uncomfortable with that fact, well, it is heavy, however I rather have a heavy glass then glass that breaks just by looking at it. It's a rather small bin, and is useful for one or two people at the most. Don't expect to do loads of fries in it. All in all, it's sturdy, reliable and for my purposes , it's perfect. Salton is a reliable brand and they came through with flying colors when they made this air fryer. It's perfect!

Flipping good!

I bought the salton flip and cook and few months ago and totally flipped! This is an amazing product that does it all when it comes to cooking. It takes my favourite air fryer and adds a grill function. This is one product that you absolutely must buy!

A Must Have

**6 Months post purchase review** I'm coming back to this item to give the best review! after using this item pretty much every day, multiple times a day, I can say it is worth the price. I have been telling friends, family, neighbours about this item because I truly believe this is the next generation of air fryers and everyone should have it! Love the glass so I can see my cooking progress and it's safer without the non-stick. Also that it doubles as a grill!

Great Product for 2 kinds of cooking

I really like the glass basket - I don't need to constantly pull it open to see if the food is done. The grill feature is so convenient when I cook hamburgers.

Worth it.

Love the clear basket!

This air fryer is compact and looks great in your kitchen. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I love the glass basket so you can see the doneness of your food without interrupting the cooking process. The grill on top is great for searing off steaks and fish.

Best 2 in 1 ever!

I recently purchased the Salton Flip and Cook. Not only is it the best air fryer on the market for the glass compartment, but it doubles as a grill for your other cooking needs. I don’t have much counter space, so I’m thrilled to find a 2-in-1 that makes life so much easier.

Super Smart

I love the way Salton brilliantly thought of making an air fryer with a glass bowl! I can see without constantly opening every few minutes to see how the cooking progress is going. Plus with glass, its better than having your food cooking in metal containers, making it a healthier choice! At first I didn't realize that I could use this as a dehydrator until I read the instruction booklet, that was an added bonus and although I don't grill as much as air frying this is just a smart design making the product have better value and more functions. Well done!

Multiple use unit

One of the standout features of this air fryer is the glass basket. Unlike traditional fryers, this model allows you to monitor your food's progress without the need to open the fryer repeatedly. I also love the versatility of the unit. I can cook burgers on the grill, then flip the unit and make fries with the air fryer.

I recently purchased the Salton Flip and Cook air fryer with a glass cooking basket, and I must say, it has completely transformed my cooking experience! This remarkable appliance has exceeded all my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The innovation provided through the glass basket is really what does it for me, not to mention the multi-use function.Not only does it allow me to monitor my food as it cooks, but it also provides excellent heat distribution. Perfect condo air fryer

My old air fryer took up too much space when I moved to my new apartment. This is the perfect size and I love that it can transform into a grill and dehydrate as well. It’s quieter than my old air fryer as well and looks pretty great

Glass basket is amazing

Got this for the glass basket and loved the versatility with the non-stick grill. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this has a dehydration function as well! It also doesn’t take up much space on my counter so I don’t need to store it anywhere else
