Works Unbelievably Well!!!!
The box this trap comes in shows a picture of the trap full of squirrels and it is no lie!! The squirrels push their way in underneath the curved door and cannot get out. There is a large area inside the trap and more squirrels come in. I had 5 squirrels in the trap the first day and 7 the next! I bought two more to set in other areas of my property. We are innundated with ground squirrels that are doing a lot of damage and these traps are really helping cut down the population!

Best Squirrel Trap EVER !!
I cannot give this trap enough stars, it is truly the most ingenious and effective squirrel trap ever !! We were infested by squirrels, they were climbing our fences and eating everything in site, this trap has been a miracle. We lost track of how many we've caught. We have found that it's best to keep the trap in the shade, we cover the top with a piece of carpet remnant and have put a board under it to prevent the mice and birds from stealing the bait from above and below. Best purchase ever !! I can't recommend enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the design of this rat trap and that it can catch multiple rats at a time. Unfortunately, it did not catch any rats for us. The rats were definitely interested in it when we first put it out but never went in. We do have chickens and I think the fact that the rats could access the chicken food still, may have kept them put of the trap. If you can remove any other food sources I am sure the trap would work great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want to eliminate those pesky squirrels or rats, this is what you need. Just fill it with peanuts and put it where the squirrels hang out and you will trap them easily. I have attached a plywood sheet to the bottom so the squirrels can’t dig under it to reach the peanuts. Also, put something heavy on top of it because the squirrels may try to move it to get the peanuts. I have relocated 13 squirrels from my yard in 2 months. I just catch them, drive to the nearby field (about 3 miles away), and let them go. This product is EFFECTIVE.

Set up & release are easy and a tray is included to carry the live rats away in. It took several tries & experimented with various baits to find what worked. Including bait tips & instructions would have been helpful.

You pretty much pull it out of the box, bait it and set it where you want it. If feels sturdy and has been used about 3 times and worked perfect every time. I would definitely recommend.

Keep unwanted animals at bay

Set up was easy, and it’s easy to use. It comes with very clear instructions. It’s small enough to store and big enough to catch multiple animals. Easy to clean, nice design and made with great quality materials. It can be used in the garage and shed and more. I love that it is safe. It’s safe and I don’t have to worry about my children getting hurt it, it’s chemical free. I would recommend this Ratinator to anyone

Easy to Use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rugged Ranch RATTR Ratinator Live Rat Squirrel Chipmunk Metal 2 Door Trap Cage is ready to use out of the box. My biggest concern was my kitten who seems to get himself into all sorts of mischief! I set it up inside with some of his favorite cat treats for a few days to see if he would get himself caught, thankfully NO! I have it outside by the chicken coop since a lot of their food is disappearing over night. I haven’t had any visitors to it yet but I am working on the placement. Once I do catch something, it will be easy to relocate without having to touch the critter! It even comes with a bottom to set it in with only the top showing. Really like this set up!

Good Trap

Humane trap

This saves allot of potential mess. The plastic tray ensures a clean way of transporting animals to a new environment while keeping your vehicle clean. I like that this trap is humane.

If any animals that are small And decide to keep getting in your garden or your flowers And you Believe in life trapnet Then this is for you. At times there are small raccoons And squirrels that like to come in there and chew on my garden. I've been wanting to trap And release Out in the county I DO NOT BELIEVE IN KILLING ANY ANIMAL! Snakes yes But not 4 legged animals. When I checked it out of the box everything is perfect And it arrives in a wonderful shape I can't Say thank you enough ! Yes I am overjoyed!!

Excellent at catching one squirrel at a time
This trap works well at catching the first squirrel in just minutes. However, once the squirrel realizes it's trapped it becomes very agitated and begins to try to chew its way out, cutting himself in the mouth. As he struggles with the trap, other squirrels seem to become wary of the situation and are very hesitant and don't want to get inside. Additionally, with this design, the food you place in the middle is quickly consumed by the entrapped squirrel so there's no reason for others to approach after a while. In my opinion, it would have been a good idea to design the cage in a way where the bait is mostly out of reach so you don't have to refill the trap and scare off the squirrels in the process. One hack is to put the bait inside a hole in the ground so they can smell it but not get to it. This trap worked well for one squirrel at a time, but for the reasons I mentioned above it's not as effective in catching multiple. I don't believe it's possible to catch squirrels with this. I attempted 5 times and each time I was only able to catch one squirrel while others were hanging out around the trap for hours.
